"This is Agent Westerway and all systems go. I repeat all systems go. Mission CM.30 is ready." I spoke clearly through the walkie talkie while holding my gun close to my side. Walking through an abandoned building in the middle of the night with a possible alien invasion going on tends to make you a bit edgy.

"Agent Westerway we need you in the control room. We've found someone trying to tamper with the trap. He says he can help. Over."

"Okay I'm on my way down but don't even think about touching him go till I see him!" I hurried back down the staircase while keeping an eye on my surroundings. When you were in an abandoned warehouse looking for aliens, you had to stay on your feet.

"SIR! WHAT WHERE YOU DOING IN OUR CONTROL ROOMS! HOW DID YOU GET HERE?" I turned the corner and saw a solider screaming at someone who was sitting in a chair with his back to me.

"Look I can help, you have to trust me. Anyways I said I was sorry, but your trap would be useless. Speaking of that, what are you trying to trap?" I watched the man lean forward a bit in his chair making the soldier shove his gun towards the intruders face.

"Hey, you heard your commander. You can't touch me. I am in-touchable." The man’s posture straightened up making the soldier growl in annoyance.

“Well can you see my commander?” He snarled while pushing the gun further up against the prisoner’s temple.

"Soldier at ease!" I ordered while flicking my hand away. He nodded than quickly saluted me and marched out the door with an embarrassed yet straight face. I quickly shut the door behind him and checked to make sure no one was around.

“Can’t even trust my damn team.” Muttering curses under my breath I moved into action.

"State your name, age, and intentions." I ordered while walking over in front of him. When I saw his face my eyes widened and he grinned.

"I'm the doctor. Lost count and I am here because I got a distressed call from a broken down ship."

The doctor, the man I met 19 years ago. The man my mother would talk about like he was god.

"Crap!" I swore while pulling out a knife.

"Huh... Oh god I swear I can help don't stab me!" He started panicking as I bent down with the knife. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his small plea. Everyone always talked him up as the brave warrior who never stood down and the soldier who could bring armies down with the flick of his screwdriver. His eyes shut but quickly reopened when he felt the knife cutting off the ropes around his wrists.

“Doctor, my name is Lieutenant Westerway, I work for U.N.I.T. but am also working in Torchwood. Your co-operation would be greatly appreciated.” I did was I had been taught and saluted even though mother had always taught me how much he hated it. Just like the stories he let out a small grunt and did a two finger salute.

“Never understood the salute.” He mumbled before clapping his hands together. “Now then Westerway, what is it exactly you need my co-operation for?” Turning I opened the door and beckoned him to follow me.

“We have stumbled upon an artifact from space sir. We just don’t…”

“Don’t call me sir Westerway.” He interrupted as we walked down the small hallways.

“Right sorry si… As I was saying, we can’t pinpoint what planet it is from, we believe it may be work from cyber men but…” My voice trailed off as we kept walking.

“But?” The doctor furrowed his eyebrows and looked over at me with one eyebrow raised.

“Something doesn’t piece together. The software used, it’s technical, but not on their level. Do you understand what I’m saying? The structure and detail isn’t as precise.” The doctor mumbled something and nodded while thinking. Once we got to where we needed to be I swung the double doors open and let the doctor pass through. He darted straight over to the artifact in the middle of the room and bent down to get a closer look. I bent down next to him and watched as he pulled out his screwdriver. It was in the shape of a box but had a few chucks hanging off which produce electrical wires that still had small sparks flying of it. The hole in the roof helped with the assumption that it fell from the sky and landed here where it had dug itself into the ground.
