Merry Christmas 🎄

It was 25th of December. Christmas day. Simon had came home for the winter holidays so could spend Christmas and New Year with his lovely family. He was in his warm bed wrapped up in the blanket and sleeping peaceful. His room was really warm not like the outside where was freezing cold but for the first time there wasn't snow. The weather forecast said it would snow on January but what is Christmas without a bit snow for the kids to play.
Everything was so quiet until....
"Simon wake up now!!!" Yelled Alexandra while throwing herself on top of Simon.
"God Alex, are you out of your mind?"
"It's Christmas bro. There's no time to sleep. We have to celebrate. "
"I think you broke my shoulder. "
"Enough whining. Get up fast. Time to open the gifts. "
"Will you ever grow up Alex?"
"Don't act like you don't like it. Come on open my gift first. "She said giving Simon a wrapped box. Inside there was a colorful woolen jumper.

Simon at it like he was holding some kind of bomb.
"What do you think? "
"I.....I think it is great. Thanks Alex."
"You're the best brother in the world. And don't worry, I asked in the shop. It's not for girls. "She said winking at him.
"You know what? I will wear it the entire day. "
"Really? I'm so glad you liked it Sim.
Simon rolled his eyes annoyed while Alexandra just laughed. Well she knew he hated when she called him Sim.
"What are we doing still here? Let's go outside."
"Fine just let me get dressed up. Oh and please make me a favor and bring my wheelchair closer to me. "
Alex nodded her head and did what Simon told her and then went outside the room. Simon sitted on his wheelchair and wore Alex's jumper and some warm trousers. When he was about to get out his phone rang. It was Daphne.
"Hello Daphne. Merry Christmas. "
"Merry Christmas to you too Simon. How was the Christmas morning? "
"I actually have just got up but Alex made me feel tired already. She jumped on me for God's sake. "
"What a cutie!" Daphne said laughing.
"Yeah whatever. What about you? "
"It's great. We arrived yesterday evening at my grandma and well we are a lot of people here and it's so much noise. "
"Really? I don't hear anything. "
"That's because I'm in the balcony. "
"Don't stay outside or you will catch a cold. "
"Don't worry. I'm fine. Oh you have also greetings from my parents and Daniel. "
"How's Daniel?"
"Much better since he has met you actually. Actually he is thinking of coming back home. "
"That's awesome Daphne. I'm so happy to hear that. "
"I know. I am so excited about it and it's all thanks to you. "
"Come on. I haven't done anything. "
"You and your modesty. "
In that moment Daphne  heard something getting broken
"I think my little cousin broke a vase for the third time. I'd better check her. Bye, I love you."
"I love you too. "Simon said hanging up the phone.
Then he moved his wheelchair to the living room where was the Christmas tree with some presents beneath it.

There were all his family. Jane and Mark went to him and wished him and he did so back. After that they all went to open the gifts.
"For the best mother I wish a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Love, your little treasures. Aww you're are so kind my children. "
"Open it up mum. "Said Alex.
Jane torned the wrapping and inside there was a framed picture of the family taken 13 years ago. Simon was 6 and Alex 3. They were under a giant Christmas tree and looked all so happy. Looking at it some small tears of joy fell from Jane's eyes. Then they all gathered around her and made a group hug .
"Thank you so much kids. This is perfect. I just love it. "
"Thanks mum. Just to know that Simon said that it would be a horrible gift. "
"What? Mum she's lying. I didn't say that. "
Jane and Mark laughed watching them having those brother and sister fights. They would always have them no matter how old they got. After opening the other gifts where Alex got a makeup kit and Mark some books to read, Jane and Mark went to the kitchen to cook for the dinner. Just thinking about it made their mouth water.
Alex and Simon were at the fireplace enjoying a nice cup of hot chocolate and nuts biscuits made by Jane.
"Hey Sim. It's great to have you back home. "
"Thanks. I actually couldn't wait to come. Sometimes college can be stressful. "
"I never want to go to college actually."
"Why Alex?"
"I don't want to leave mum and dad alone. Let's keep this between us but mum was really sad when you left. "
"I can imagine. Maybe she still isn't used to the idea I'm growing up. "
"I think that for the parents children stay well children to them even the years pass. It's hard to let go of something you love. "
"You're surprising me. Where did you learn all these Alex?"
"I have seen a movie but it's true. You live with them a really long time, take care for them and in the end they go to build up their life. I think it is kinda sad. "
"It is. But that's how life is, we can't change it. I mean we can't live with mum and dad our whole lives. We should make our family. "
"Speaking of it I can't wait to be an aunt actually. I bet that you and Daphne will have an amazing baby. "
"Alexandra Johnson you are official crazy. "
"No I'm not. Hasn't she told you? She's pregnant Simon. "
For a moment Simon just stayed there shocked and didn't know what to say.
Then Alexandra started laughing and  couldn't stop.
"Oh God Simon. I should have taken a picture of your face. I was just joking, she's not pregnant."
"Alex those aren't things you can make jokes. I nearly had a heart attack. "
Alex just kept laughing while Simon went to his room and called Daphne to really make sure it wasn't true. Daphne just couldn't stop laughing when she Simon told her and then she secured him she wasn't pregnant. A Christmas morning to remember....

Evening came really soon and the table was full of delicious food. It had everything:the turkey,baked potatoes, types of salads,cupcakes, biscuits,cake everything.

"Mum it's wonderful "Alex said with her eyes wide opened.
"Thank dear come on let's eat. "
Everything was so delicious. Simon loved every dish his parents had made. He ate so much that he didn't want to eat for an entire week.
After the delicious dinner Alex was helping Jane to clean up the table, Mark was reading a book while Simon was staring at the window. He couldn't wait until New Year because he would celebrate it with his group. Georgia, Sue and Daphne would came on 30th of December,Derek was already back from his tour around the world and Tom would come tomorrow from New York. He was so excited about it. To be all together again just like in high school. As he was thinking all of these a snowflake fell on the window. A snowflake? Others were falling down. It was snowing!
"Hey guys look. The weather forecast was wrong. It's snowing."said Simon happy.
"What? That's awesome!" Said Alex.
Everyone came closer to the window and saw how the snow was falling down. The streets were becoming covered by it already.
"I'm going to get my coat. " said Alexandra while running to get it and go outside.
"Mum let's not stay here. Let's celebrate in the snow. "
They all went outside and started playing with the snow. Some neighbors were out too to enjoy the spectacle. Alex kept running in the yard and Simon rode his wheelchair around.
"Merry Christmas everyone! "He said closing his eyes and enjoying the snow falling on his face. Best Christmas ever.

This was the Christmas special I wanted to make for The Boy in The Wheelchair. I really missed writing it so I made this. I hope you liked it and have a happy Christmas this year! <3 <3 <3
