Getting ready to go to a party was always something I enjoyed; dancing around the room, drinking where I feel the most comfortable and just having a blast as I get on the train to wasted, a place that would ensure I wouldn't feel a single bit awkward at the party.

I went to work on my hair, my makeup already on, thanks to Izzy, and my nude dress clingy to my body in a way I wasn't completely sure was flattering. The occasion at Izzy's seemed to be a little different than usual. It could've been that it wasn't just Iz and I getting ready together, or it could've been that the drinks weren't hitting me fast enough to accommodate that fact.

Surrounding me was an extra three people I really could of gone my whole night without seeing; Jack, Sherrie and Sebastian.

However, the thing about best friends is that if you dislike someone, they'll hate them. So when Sherrie Jameson tried to talk to Iz or me, my best friend wouldn't hesitate to shut the poor girl up, resulting in constant bickering between them all night.

"What do you mean you don't think I look hot enough?" Sherrie pouted and twirled around in her black dress, as if she was our best friend and we just jokingly offended her, before coming over and sitting down next to our spot on the lounge room floor, where we had a mirror standing so we could do our makeup.

"Aubrey, your eyeliners crooked, want me to fix it?" I just smiled, probably looking like a clown ready to attack, and shook my head, looking at her, ready to punch the fuck out of her. I suppose Sebastian got the vibe I was about to throw her through the mirror.

"Although I'd love to see you three going at each other all night, I wouldn't mind if you could all shut the fuck up and play nice so we can enjoy the party." He spoke clearly and took a seat on the couch as he poured drinks from the coffee table into his cup, mixing them together with the straw.

The two seemed to listen to Sebastian, Izzy just huffing and staying quiet, however I couldn't help but keep my eyes off the drink he was mixing, looking at the array of colours folding together. Once he's done, he took the shot glasses from directly in front of him and poured tequila into each one, before looking up from them and to me, clearly having seen me staring, and indicated to them.

I walked towards him, "appreciated."
