Chapter 13

*Recap*

"I heard you where going out with another guy. Their!" Trent said and Mason came in.

"What?" I asked. I didn't know that hurt him. I thought we where friends. Brothers.

"Guys!" Mason comes to us and gives us a group hug. "Thank you for coming to get me." Mason said but all i could think about was what Trent said.

"Mel!" Mason hugged me then Andrea and Delilah. The he did fist bump with Trent.

"Guys thank you really. I know your back in Boston and came to get me i really appreciate it. If you guys ever go to jail i swear ill bail you guys out." Mason said like a fish that had been taken out of water and then staid their for days and then we go and help the fishy back into water.

"Its ok man anything for you." Trent said patting Mason's back. Mason smiled and we headed out.

While Mason talked to the girls i stayed back with Trent.

"Trent I didn't know you felt that way." I said putting a hand over his arm for comfort.

"Well yeah i do! It ain't fun knowing that the person you want and have been trying to get never wanted you." He said pushing my arm away.

"Trent you could've just told m-"

"Yeah i fucking was. And i was fucking going to ask you to prom too." He said taking the tickets out from his pocket.

I feel like shit. At first when i met Trent i actually liked him. But i felt he never liked me back so i out grew that and i don't feel like my feelings are coming back.

"You- you where?" I said without a breath.

"Yeah but you know what screw that! Not everything you want is possible." He said throwing them in the trash and walking away.

"Trent I did like you"

"What?" He said stopping and looking back. His blonde hair was a mess with the stress but it still looked good.

"Yeah i did. But that was when i met you. You totally friend zoned me with your ex. Bitchy Brittany. And you know what. It did fucking sting me. I couldn't stand a day of you too knowing deep inside me that i liked you."

"You know what?"

"What?"

"I don't think its always better for people to hide their feelings... Theirs always times when hiding is what makes us worse." He said. Trent could always know what to say. He had that knowledge within him and i guess he's right.

Hiding things is what broke things apart.

I looked up at him. He was deep in thought. I gave him a hug.

"I know I'm not giving much. But a hug can go where no other word could reach." I said and he hugged me back tightly.

"I'm sorry Mel."

"I'm sorry Trent"

Right now. We've both done things we would've regret. Like me never telling him. We would've been girlfriend and boyfriend. But sometimes God closes doors cause he has something better stored for us.

Maybe me and Trent wouldn't had worked out. But I'm glad i still have him as a friend.

"Are we still friends?" Trent asked.

"Yeah" I said smiling.

"That was so touching!" Mason said running to us and hugging us.

"Get off man!" Trent said pushing him off and i started to laugh.
