Chapter 4

The annoying siren of an alarm clock woke up the blonde woman, earning an exhausted, yet angry groan from her. She sat up in her bed and yawned, turning the alarm clock off; she forgot to turn it off last night. Monika was one of those 'morning people' that are so rare these days. She stretched and smiled around her room, her three other roommates were all still asleep. The blonde quietly got out of bed and went to the bathroom, closing the door and brushing her teeth. She washed her face and tried multiple hairstyles in the mirror until she heard two of her roommates talking. Monika looked at her reflection and set on her normal high ponytail. She went out of the room and greeted her friends, they said hello to her too. They were confused as to why Monika was up early on their day off.

"I'm meeting the Air Marshall today..."
"What do you mean 'meeting the Air Marshall'..." asked Anna, raising an eyebrow. She had short, dark brown hair and was freckled.
"You mean that blonde hottie? The one that looks like he should be a movie star?" Questioned Hannah, the taller, dirty blonde woman. She looked as if she could beat up some of the strongest men on campus.
"I suppose so?" Monika raised an eyebrow in confusion at the two girls.
The last girl, Sofia, woke up and rubbed her eyes,
"Why are you guys up so damn early..?"
"Sofie... go back to sleep..." Anna threw her pillow at the brunettes face.
"Hrmph..." Sofia grabbed the pillow and hugged it, curling into a ball.
"Strange girl..." Hannah had her hands on her hips and a confused look on her face. Monika had been friends with these three for a long time, since they joined the German Police force.
"We're just going out into town..." Monika shoved some dirty clothes in a hamper basket that was placed in the corner of the room.
"Lucky girl, wish I was you..." Said Hannah,
"Shut up..." she replied,
"So what time you meeting him?" Anna was laying on her bed, head in hands and her legs kicking in the air.
Monika looked at the clock on the wall and sighed.
"Around 10..."
"10? You've got another 1... and... a bit hours to go... and you're basically ready now... do you think he's up as well?" Hannah asked
"Yeah, I think he would be..."
"So why don't you go ask for him at 9? I'm sure both of you would be ready by then..."
"Maybe... I'll tell either one of you if the time's changed."
"Alright..."
"I just want to make sure that I'm not smelly, scraggy and plain horrible before the date..."
"Darling... that's you everyday," the comment made by Anna caused Hannah to giggle, making Monika furrow her brows and shake her head.
"Whatever..." Monika grabbed her stuff for the shower and left the room.

Marius has been awake for almost an hour now, he had washed, had his coffee and gotten dressed. Yet there was still 1 and a half hours left on the clock. He decided to sit as his desk with his p12, pulling it apart then timing himself on how quickly he can put it back together. Dominic still has the record. Dom doesn't let him forget that. Jäger spent at least half an hour trying until he got bored and slouched in his chair, staring at the blank ceiling. He closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep. He only woke up when he heard a knock on his door.
"Shit..." he jumped out of his chair and looked at the clock on his desk, it read 09:20. "Oh, good..." he brushed his jeans and shirt and walked to the door, not caring about his messy hair. Jäger opened it and saw a small blonde woman dressed in jeans and a hoodie standing in front of him.
"H-hi..." Monika peeped, raising her hand to greet him
"Hey..." Marius raised an eyebrow, wondering why she was early. "What's up?"
"I wanted to ask if you wanted to  go out earlier today... because I thought we had been ready for a while..."
"Yeah it's no problem" Marius smiled a little, grabbing his jacket from the hook on the door.
"Ok," Monika smiled "so uh... any idea on where to go? Because I have no idea..."
"Oh yeah, I just thought we could go to the cinema" Marius suggested, feeling hopeful. Monika's face lit up and she nodded
"That sounds good!"
Marius smiled too and grabbed his wallet.
"Alright then, shall we go?" Jäger asked, stepping out of his room and closing the door behind himself.
"Yeah, ok" Monika quickly took her phone out of her pocket and started texting Hannah. Marius locked the door and looked at the blonde, raising an eyebrow. "S-sorry..." Monika sent the text and put the phone away back into the pocket, smiling apologetically up at the man.
"No problem..." Marius started walking down the hallway. Monika quickly caught up and walked beside him.
