In the past, A child Apep, practices magic.

"Apep, why are you not playing with your siblings."

"I wanted to perfect my magic."

"You will have plenty of time to do that later."

"I want to make you proud by being the best guardian I can be."

"You will be but not if you overexert yourself, and I am proud of you, now go play with the others."

"Okay." He wrapped his arms around Mother Earth's now corporeal form, then ran off and joined at the other guardian children.

Apep woke up from his slumber, sitting on his throne.

It's morning, Caesar lays in bed with an open book on his chest. He wakes up, not too long before school, so he drags his sleepy body out of bed.

After he's gotten ready, he sits at the counter, mind wandering, while his mom makes breakfast.

"Caesar."

He snapped out of his thoughts. "Ma'am."

His mom placed his Omelette in front of him. "You okay, you look tired."

"I'm fine, was reading all night." He lied.

"Okay, well hurry up, we have to leave in a few minutes."

He nodded and as he ate, he thought about Apep. He can't stop thinking Apep, can show up at any moment, and they have a plan, but it could be a lot better, Caesar thought. Waiting for him to come to them is maddening, maybe they can...

"Caesar, time to go."

Fast forward to Caesar arrived at school, he went to his locker where Dillon, Amore, and Ember waited. All of whom looked as tired as Caesar.

"You guys didn't get much sleep either?"

"Hard to sleep when an ancient snake man is ought to get you." Dillon said.

"I have an idea to deal with Apep."

"How?" Amore asked.

"Instead of sitting here, waiting for him to attack, we go after him."

"How?" Ember asked.

"Apep is hiding out somewhere, we just need to figure out where."

"How do we do that?" Dillon asked.

"Mother Earth." Amore suggested.

"We'll ask her during lunch." Caesar said.

The others nodded and the bell rung, and they went off to their classes.

Later during their lunch period, they convene outside.

"Could we had done this after lunch?"

"It shouldn't take long." Caesar said. "Mother Earth."

Green particles appear and forms Mother Earth's ethereal form. "Yes, children."

"Do you know where Apep could be hiding?" Caesar asked.

"Why do you ask?"

"We're planning on ambushing him."

"Are you sure that is wise?"

"We can't keep waiting we have to fight back."

Skeptically she complied. "If you wish, I can think of a few places but I would suggest searching The Temple of Beasts, considering his former allies." She magically sends the coordinates to Caesar phone.
