Chapter 3: Magnet For Big Shot Celebrities?!

❝you don't need a map to know how to get there

because the answer is inside of you,

you just don't realize it. ❞

KEVIN TAYLOR is confused. He stared at the letter in his hands for a little while. Scented stationary paper? Check. Colored sparkly ballpens? Check. Neat handwriting and xoxo in the end? Yup, all the elements that point to a fangirl letter is there. But this one... He is certain that this one is different.

He wasn't even aware that he is going somewhere. Let alone a place where he would need to buy a map. And what is with the girly theme going on? He sincerely hope that his dear fans don't think of him as someone sappy and into poems and other nonsense. Kevin could only take so much.

He tskked. But really, letters are getting weirder and weirder these days. Scratch that. Fans are getting rabid and rabid these past centuries.

Someone coughed in front of him. Kevin looked up from his desk and immediately groaned upon seeing the person standing in front of him. "What is it, Jhea?" He set aside the documents on his table and looked at the intruder irritably.

Jhea laughed, "Ah, Kevin," She sat at the chair opposite to his with her legs crossed. "Is that how you treat your dear manager?" Without waiting for his answer, she placed a copy of one of those tabloids on his table. "Mind telling me what exactly this is about?"

Kevin picked it up curiously and turned the pages, not really sure what he's looking for or if it is even worth seeing at all. "What am I supposed to be looking at?"

His manager leaned across his desk, "Here." Kevin scanned the page and saw one particular article entitled 'SCANDAL: Another Fling For The Famous Kevin Taylor?' He didn't even read the first sentence. Instead, he just threw it away in boredom. "Same old, same old. I don't know why you even bother to read this things." He sipped the still steaming coffee on his desk.

"Well, excuse me then." Jhea stood up. "By the way, no more side flings this time, okay? You're supposed to be endorsing your new movie with that young actress, Zeeyah Shin, and it wouldn't do us any good if you were seen with another girl. "

When she's halfway out the door, Jhea stopped. "Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. Calvin told me to tell you that he'll arrive there before you." And with that, she left.

JENN HASTINGS stared weirdly at the phone in her hand. "What do you mean by, 'You should see him'?" It was Sunday, and she have the whole day to do whatever she wants to do. Well, at least that's what she first thought. Out of the blue, Debbie suddenly called her phone, putting all of her relaxation plans on hold.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about!" Debbie replied impatiently. "Sooner or later, you'll have no choice but to see him again. You can't delay the inevitable!"

Silence greeted her from the other side.

She sighed, "Come on now, go out of your house and stretch that legs of yours. Let's meet in Starbucks. I'll see you there in a minute or so. Okay?" Jenn heard shuffling, probably Debbie changing clothes or something.

And without waiting for an answer, Debbie hang up.

"Really, that girl..."

Jenn slowly became irritated and impatient. She checked her watch again, probably for the sixth time and frowned. 10:35, Debbie's ten minutes late. It's not like her. Usually, she's the first one to arrive when their group hangs out.

Sighing, she stood up and went her way over to the counter, intending to buy a hot chocolate to pass the time. "Caramel latte please. Hold the foam." Jenn handed over a bill, took her change and stood to the side, waiting for her order. After receiving the drink, she turned around, intending to go back to her seat when suddenly, a wall-like creature bumped into her and sent her sprawling into the ground.

The hot coffee spilled into her shirt and she let out a squeak as the liquid splashed, leaving behind stains in most of her top. Not to mention, the clothes was very, very hot. And did she mention, hot? As she tried desperately to get it off, she almost didn't notice the person she had bumped into was apologizing a thousand times over, all the while offering her his handerkerchief. Well, Jenn assumed he's apologizing, but since he's talking so fast, she couldn't even understand a word of what he's saying.

Jenn stood up with some difficulty and offered the man a weak smile. " It's okay. A few washing and it'll come off..." She hesitated. "Eventually... I think? But anyway, don't worry about it."

The man shook his head. "No, I should repay you somehow!" He insisted and led her to one of the open booths.

Jenn laughed. "Don't bother." She offered her hand, "Uhmm, why don't I introduce myself? My name's Jennifer hastings, but you can call me Jenn. So... you are?"

He finally looked up and Jenn suddenly felt like having a heart attack. Blond hair? Blue eyes with little specks of gold? Muscular build? Haven't she seen him before in a magazine somewhere? What was his name again? Cae.. Ce... Cle... Cal——?

He smiled at her, showing off his pearly white teeth. "My name's Calvin Valeria. Nice to meet you!"

For the love of God! Why does every person she meet always turns out to be some big shot celebrity?
