Finally, we did it. We escaped that monster I was forced to call a father. Escaped that town where I was cast aside by those terrible children. Escaped that person I used to be.
Now that I'm here, I get to start over, be who ever I want to be. Make friends, hopefully! Be myself. Although I will never be like the other kids, at least I have a new chance of hiding that fact.
The drive here was long and my brother playing the same song over and over again didn't help. To be honest with you, I was happy about this move. I never liked it back in Florida, it was the same thing every god damn day. And, even though this town is smaller then what I left behind, it sounds a lot better. I mean, anything was better than that shit hole.
After almost 16 hours in a car, we pulled into a driveway, our new home. Jacob, my brother, started screaming until, I hit him with my pillow, he's kinda stupid and annoying... but, I guess I love him.
The house was nice, there seemed to be a lot of people on the street and the school wasn't too far, all in all, I could handle this.
"Taylor! Help Jacob carry his things into the house please!" My mother called from the front of the porch.
" Do I have to?" Just because he's younger doesn't mean he can't do stuff for himself.
I grabbed my suitcase and Jacobs and took them to our rooms. My room was big, and had a view of a forest behind our house.
Half my stuff was already in there so all I had to do was unpack. I put my short , curly brown hair into a clip and started working. I put on my Walkman and put in an AC/ DC tape. And after a while I felt like I was finally home!
