The Terrifying Night!

The Funeral

"I can't believe this," Shane said as he, Sarah, & Hailey walked into the church. Who could've killed him? & what would their motive be? I mean, he was a nice guy & he didn't have any beef with anybody, so, who & why would somebody kill him?"

"I have no idea," Hailey said.

"Anyway, I better get going; he kept telling me his whole life that he wanted me as his pallbearer when he dies. I just didn't think it would be today," Shane said as he walked away.

Sarah & Shane were cousins, so, she was just as sad about Shane's brother, Jamie's death, as he was.

"How old was Jamie?" Hailey asked.

"Jamie was three years younger than us, so, he was 13 years old," Sarah replied.

"Wow. That's devastating," Hailey said.

"I'd say," Sarah replied.

The girls took their seats as the music started playing. Sarah started to cry when the pallbearers came in.

All of a sudden, the door opened.

When Hailey saw who was coming in, she looked very confused.

Hailey tapped on Sarah's shoulder.

"What?" Sarah replied as she turned towards Hailey.

"Look," Hailey replied.

Sarah looked at the aisle to see Jamie walking towards them.

"What's going on here? I'm not in that casket." Jamie said, confused.

"At the end of the Halloween party Tuesday night, Sarah & I helped clean your house & I saw you lying in a pool of blood." Hailey replied. "But, if you're not in that casket, who is?"

Shane looked to their seat to see Jamie sitting there.

All of a sudden, someone else rose up out of the casket & took off a mask.

It was the aging doll.

"...that's the aging doll..." Hailey said, scared.

"But, how? The aging doll is so short, but Jamie is so tall..." Shane replied, confused.

"She has her ways," Sarah replied.

When they left the church, all freaked out, Hailey decided she was going to go home.

"See you guys tomorrow," she said.

"Okay. Bye," Shane & Sarah replied as they, too, left to go home.

When Hailey got home, she had supper (potato & chicken). After she had supper, her mother asked if she wanted to go watch TV.

"Sure," Hailey replied.

They went into the living room & put on the news.

"A doll haunting people all around Toronto," the news anchor said. "The doll went to the church this afternoon & around 1:30pm."

"Did you know about this?" Hailey's mother asked.

"Yes," Hailey said, nervously.

"Where & when?" Hailey's mother asked.

"Friday, at school. That's the only time & place, I think," Hailey replied.

"Nowhere else?" Hailey's mother kept asking questions & Hailey started to get annoyed.

"Mom, I'm not trying to be rude, but, you're kind of asking too many questions," Hailey said.

"I'm just trying to protect you," her mother replied.
