Hey guys, it's Sam here! Thanks for checking out my story, I'm extremely proud of this and had a lot of inspiration due to the song 'Control' - written by Halsey. I think it suits Josh extremely well, and I would appreciate your feedback as to what you liked about this chapter and what you hope to see in future chapters. :) I normally don't write character x oc stories unless I'm infatuated with the plot enough to build something around that. This is supposed to represent the analogy that CJ is the sea, and Josh wants to see it - but he's so lost in his insanity that he can't go home to it.

CJ comes back as an surprise to Josh and his friends after being invited by his parents before the twins' disappearance.

So, here you have it. Please enjoy!

Josh had remembered what her favorite color was - blue.

That color made him happy, even though the color at times represented sadness. That was what his therapist, Dr. Hill, had proclaimed. It was hard to decipher what made him feel okay, or if anything made him feel at all. It was becoming painfully obvious though, that Josh was tired of old men sitting before him, behind a desk, curling their lips in an attempt to make him angry to gain satisfaction. He felt like itching his skin, and then peeling it off slowly in an attempt to at least feel somewhat of an euphoric sensation. Dr. Hill wouldn't ever approve though, neither would his friends. No one would tend to the awareness that Josh wasn't the same person he was a year ago, and he didn't even feel normal.

"Josh,  you're losing focus... Now tell me - what was her favorite color again?"

The air flowing through Josh's lungs felt forced as he scratched lightly at the material of his jeans. Gently tracing the stitching of his pants, the teen then glanced over at his wrist while calmly turning it over. He could hear the soft scratching sounds of the tip of a pencil dancing along paper - the sound played over and over again in his head.

Lightly skimming his fingertips along his veins that were under his tanned skin, Josh felt a sudden chuckle escape his lips. They curled until a mischievous grin before he laughed a bit louder. Dr. Hill stared at him and said nothing - of course he didn't.

Sighing and leaning back into the leather chair, Josh lazily raised his wrist and gently poked it. "Blue," he hummed softly, "Everything she wore, drew or created was blue. She even wanted blue hair when she grew up, but her mom was against it."

Resting his wrist on Dr. Hill's desk, Josh frowned suddenly and stared down at his skin. Watching the area pulse lightly, he felt something boil within his core. "Sometimes I hate the color, because everywhere I look I feel like she's right there." Dropping his wrist into his lap, he sighed deeply and tossed his cheek into the palm of his hand. Rubbing at his eyes tiredly, he pulled down on his face in a stance that he was tired of being interrogated.

Grunting, Dr. Hill leaned forward and lightly tapped his pencil against the surface of his desk. Every click made Josh's eye start to twitch, and in an attempt to stop it the man pushed more of his face into the hand that was leaning on the arm rest of the chair.

"You act if though her inability to see you is almost as bad as the disappearance of your sisters," The older man started with a cooler tone in his voice. His lip curled lightly and he tilted his head, studying his patient before him. Watching Josh stiffen within his cold gaze, the tan man gripped onto the other arm rest with his free hand - "Josh, you are such a selfish  boy. Can't you see you have better things to worry about than a mere memory? Don't disappoint your sisters by wasting your breath on a girl that left  you when you were young."
