I woke up not wanting to go to school. Everyone hates the new kid and everyone bullies the new kid. Why did Sam decide to move us to just so I could go to some stupid school? And the worst part of all is that I had to move away from my best friends in Las Vegas! Don't get me wrong I love Europe and i'm kind of an adventurer, but why move while I'm still in high school? As I out of bed, I frowned as I saw myself in the mirror. Ugh. Dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, just another brunette. What's so special about that? I picked up a lock of my hair. I need to cut it all off, I hate having long hair. Sam told me not to cut, but i'm gonna do it anyway. I sighed and started my daily routine. When I went down stairs to get something to eat, Sam, my guardian had that smile on her face. "Good morning Riddy!" She practically sang, handing me a stack of pancakes. "Morning sam." I sighed, as I ate the pancakes. Sam frowned at me and crossed her arms. "Why don't you call me mom?" I gave her a look, my 'you really just asked that question?' look. "Because your not my real mother." Sam's face saddens, and she opens her mouth to protest, but I cut her off. "Look I really have to get to that academy your making me go to so..see ya later!" I grabbed my satchel and my keys and headed out the door. "Wait! You don't know where you're going!! Or how to get back! I'll drive you!" Sam yelled. "I looked up the directions online!" I slammed the door shut and started walking to the academy. As I was walking, I waited to cross the street, when a boy came crashing into me. We both ended up falling to the ground. "What the bloody hell!" He yelled at me. "You're telling me! Watch where you're going!" I got up and dusted myself off and glanced at the boy. He had green eyes, blond hair, and these eyebrows that made him look somewhat cute to me. Then I glanced at my watch. "Ah shit! I got to go! I'm going to be late!" I grabbed my satchel and ran, just when the boy called after me,"Hey you! Where the bloody hell are you going?" He ran after me and grabbed my wrist and looked into my eyes. "Let go! I have to get to school!" I yelled at him, trying to get out of his grip. "Are you going to Gakuen Academy?" I gave him a look and nodded,"Yes how did you know?" He looked at me and then chuckled,"Well its obvious you are because of your uniform." I looked at my watch again and screamed,"Oh crap! I'm going to be late!" The boy looked at my watch and laughed,"Your watch has the wrong time! I do believe you have America's time. Here let me fix that for you." The boy gently touched my wrist and started changing the time, and then he smiled when he was done. "There! We have an hour and a half to get there." I blinked a couple of times, then spoke,"We? You go there too?" He nodded. "Ah yes I do," He held out his hand,"I'm Arthur Kirkland, pleasure to meet you." I took his hand and he kissed mine. "And you are?" He asked. I recoiled and said,"I'm Riddare. Nice to meet you also Arthur." I took my hand back and wipped it on the skirt of my dress. He didn't seem to notice though. He smiled and took hold of my hand again. "May I accompany you to the academy?" He asked me. I quickly shook my head,"No, that wouldn't be necessary. I actually know where to go." He smiled at my response and let my hand go, he started walking away. "Well, I guess i'll see you around. " I nodded and I watched him leave. I noticed a road of some sorts in the grass. I got off the sidewalk and I started walking on a grassy-dirt road that was just a few feet from the sidewalk, but it was easily hidden if you didn't look close at it. The road got farther away from the sidewalk and the road got more visible and the road lead to an opening that lead to a forest, I smiled and kept on walking. I kept on walking in the forest until I saw a river. In the river there where stones I could use to get across. I quickly crossed the river. "Beautiful." I breathed out. Nevada never had forests. Just plain dry wastelands. After moments later my jaw dropped, not believe my eyes. Right in front of me was the biggest, fattiest, most beautiful tree I have ever seen. The tree was surrounded by a small river circling around it and a bunch of beautiful flowers and plants and green grass. It was like a meadow or a secret garden. "Wow...just wow.." There was only one thought in my mind, I was gonna climb that tree. I took a couple of mintues to get where I wanted. I rested up against the tree and swung my legs back and forward. I sighed in content and hummed for a while. Maybe this wasn't gonna be so bad. I was up there for seemed hours until I heard a soun. That's my que to leave And with that I jumped down from the tree, stupid mistake consitering how high up I was. I scraped my knee badly, but didn't really care much. I grabbed my satchel and ran away not knowing where I was going. But I realized that it was a shortcut because as soon as I ran, I saw the academy. I heard someone running after me, so I ran inside the academy. I took out a paper that had my classes and my locker number and combo. I finally found it, top locker 8-468. Thank god I hated getting bottom lockers. I read the combo and opened the locker and put my satchel in and grabbed my binder. "Okay first class...PE..oh joy..to the girls' locker room it is then." Then I realised, my knee. It was bleeding pretty bad. I sighed and grabbed my first aid kit from my bag. I slid down to the floor so I was siting. As soon as I opened the kit, I heard a grasp and the clacking of shoes coming towards me. "You there! What did you do to yourself!" This boy asked with a shrill voice. "I fell getting out of a tree." I answered. The boy bent done to my level, he did not look pleased. "Climbing trees? You're a lady, you must be more careful!" He snapped. He adjusted his glasses and sighed. "Here, let me." I nodded and he took the first aid kit from me. "What's your name?" I asked as he took cotton balls and the spray out. "Roderick Edelstein." he said as he sprayed the cotton balls and dabbed it against the wound. I hissed though my teeth, god dang it hurt. He chuckled,"Why do you have this on you?" I laughed,"I'm kinda a klutz, so I always have it." He stopped. "Don't say that. Just because you fall, doesn't mean you're a klutz." I scoffed,"I was born with hemiparesis. Yes it does mean i'm a klutz." Roderick stared at me with wide eyes. "Oh my. Hemiparesis is a terrible thing. I'm so sorry." Roderick looked at my body. "I couldn't even tell until you told me. You're completely normal." He patted my shoulder. "You are still a wonderful lady. Just because you have a default, doesn't mean you're are not any less of a humanbeing. We all have something wrong with us, yours is just on the outside." I blinked away my tears that had formed. "Oh yeah? What is yours?" I asked as he wrapped a bandage around my knee. "Perfection." He stood up, brushing off his clothes from the floor. He offered a hand to help me up, I accepted it without hesitation. "What a gentlemen." Rodrick allowed a smiled to grace his lips. "Why of course I am." I half smiled back,"Thank you Rodrick." He nodded and helped me grab my binder and first aid kit. I slammed my locker shut. "I believe I didn't catch your name." I slapped myself in my mind. "I forgot. Riddare. But people call me Rid." Rodrick nodded,"May I escort you to class. Wouldn't want you to fall again." I chuckled and nodded. "Alright! Lead the way."
