Chapter 4: A Pampered Little Finger

I drove to Elena's house hoping to see Jeremy and forget about Nick. I wiped my eyes and prayed it didn't look like I had been crying. Jeremy would've gone ballistic.

"Lena? Jer? Jenna?" I called out when I entered the home.

"They'll be back soon. Maybe not Jenna, she's on a date with Alaric right now." I jumped in fear at the sound of an unfamiliar voice. "It's Melody, right?" I turned to face the voice and calmed down, knowing who it was now.

"It's actually Iliana." I told him with a smile. "And you are Stefan, the hot vampire boyfriend. Or do you prefer Epic Love?"

"Just Stefan's fine." He answered with a chuckle. "Observant works too by the way. You've been crying, you okay?"

"Just some stupid guy troubles." I said with a shrug as I sat down on one of the chairs.

"Ahhh." He said with a knowing nod as he brought out a bottle of scotch. "Want to talk about it?"

"Would that help?"

"I don't know." He said as he poured us both a glass. "But either way, wouldn't you be better off than you are now?"

"Fine." I said with a huff. "I really liked this guy, and I thought he liked me too and then he suddenly just decided he didn't want to hurt me I guess and then he left."

"That's rough." He told me as I downed my drink. "This guy was he a—"

"Vampire? Yeah."

"I was actually going to ask if he was a celebrity, but all info's good info." He said with a chuckle.

"Oh, my bad." I said, laughing too. "No, just your everyday vampire. That I literally only knew for a day! But I don't know, I just felt so strongly for him, you know? There was something about him that made me feel special. He didn't even know who I was! He wasn't about to ask me every single thing about one famous person or another. When I was with him, I forgot about Melody and for the first time in years, I was just Iliana the person, not Melody the star. And normally I hate that, I love being Melody but with him it just felt different."

"Celebrities, they really are just like us." He said with a laugh.

"Yeah, rejection is universal." I grumbled when the door opened and in walked Jeremy and Elena.

"Is that my favourite celebrity sister?" Jeremy asked when he ran up and hugged me.

"I think you mean only celebrity sister, seeing as Elena is lacking in that department." I replied, hugging my now skyscraper tall brother. "You know I had this plan to tell you off for dating Bonnie and not telling me but now I'm scared you'll beat me up if I do. You're too big, stop growing!"

"I know right!" Elena said whilst lightly smacking our not-so-little brother. "You're making us look even smaller!"

"Small works for me." Stefan said as he bent down to kiss her making both me and Jeremy gag.

"Get a room." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Preferably at his." Jeremy added.

"I missed you!" I said hugging him tightly again.

"I missed you too. I had to deal with these two all by myself."

"How did you make it this far?" I said as we continued to mock the lovebirds.

"Bonnie." He answered, wiggling his eyebrows and making me pull away from him too.

"They got to you." I said, shaking my head. "It's an epidemic."
