Chapter one

"Please do this for me." Ryan begged me.

"When is it?" I asked him. 

"Next Thursday in Vegas."

"Okay, fine i'll go with you." i gave into Ryan, like i always do.

"Thank you so much Maddie. You won't regret this at all!" Ryan said excitedly. 

"I hope not."

"Hey maybe now that you're coming with, you can finally meet my friend Chase." Ryan said again excitedly. "You might actually like him."

"The strong word is might in that sentence." i smirked at Ryan.

- *skip to next Thursday*

"Madison, you look absolutely stunning." Ryan said as he took my hand in his and twirled me around. 

"Awe thank you Ry." I smiled at him.

"So are you ready?" He asked.

"Whenever you are." I said.

We walked into the elevator and rode it down to the lobby and walked into the convention part of the hotel where the awards were being held. Ryan offered me his arm which i accepted, and then we started down the NASCAR black carpet. Cameras started flashing and we were getting interviewed as we were walking down the carpet. 

"Are you sure you're gonna be okay while i'm up there?" Ryan asked.

"Ryan, i'll be fine! Go up there and don't worry about me!" i said as i got up  and hugged Ryan and watched him walk up on stage. As i sat back down in my seat, i watched some guy get up and walk over to Ryan and they did a 'bro shake' thing then they walked up on stage to the platform in the middle. 

"So Ryan, how did it feel to win the race at Pocono?" the announcer asked him

"It was an awesome feeling, i'm glad i got to pick up one of the ninety nine wins that the wood brothers got this season." Ryan answered.

"How does it feel that made it as far to round 8?" the announcer asked.

"It felt good that we were able to make it as far as we did." Ryan said.

"Now Chase, even though you didn't get a win this season,  you did come very close to winning the race at Martinsville. How did that feel?" The announcer asked.

"We were doing amazing that race, until the last lap when Hamlin pulled the unnecessary move of bumping my bumper. i know that's racing in all, but it was still very uncalled for." Chase explained.  I didn't really know what happened, but it sounds like Chase is taking it like  champ. 

"Also Chase, how does it feel to know that you finished 5th overall?" The announcer asked him.

"I'm very proud of the team and the job they did this season." Chase smiled. Even from here you could see his perfectly white straight teeth. Everyone started clapping as the two boys were walking off the platform. The rest of the night consisted of other racers going up on stage  to talk and receive awards.  The whole thing ended around 11:30. When it was over, Ryan and i went to the lobby bar.

"Hi can i please have two coors?" I asked

"Can i see your ID?" the bartender asked me. i handed her my licenses and she gave it back within a minute along with two beers. I walked back out to the patio to where Ryan was sitting with Chase, so i went back to the bar and ordered a coors for Chase. i walked back out to the patio and sat down the beers before i sat myself down. 

"Hey, thanks." Chase said.

"Chase, this is my long time friend, Madison Daze. Mads, this is my best friend Case Elliott." Ryan introduced.

"Hey, its really nice to meet you. Ryan was so excited for me to meet you." I said to Chase.

"Its nice to meet you as well. Ryan has told some things about you and i was excited to meet you myself." Chase smiled

His smile is even more prettier up close.

"You guys both look so handsome tonight. I was kind of surprised to see Ryan without a hat tonight." I said with a little light laugh at the end.

"I think everyone was." Chase responded.

"I was kind of shocked myself." Ryan laughed. "But i'll be right back, i'm gonna go talk to Dale." and with that he stood up while grabbing his beer and walked over to Dale Earnhardt Jr.

"So i hope what Ryan told you about me was all good and not embarrassing." I said to Chase.

Chase laughed  a little before answering. "Oh no, it was all good things."

"What did he say?" i asked

"That you're a beautiful girl who just graduated from college who just happens to be into racing. You don't see that combination very often." Chase said flashing me his snow white teeth.  "But if you don't mind me asking, how did you get into racing?"

"Wow, those are very good things." I said with a little laugh. "But um my dad, mom, grandpa, my aunt and uncle and even cousins all raced, so i guess you can say my whole life is pretty much built on racing." i answered

"Damn sounds like it." Chase laughed. I just laughed along with him while i was sipping on my beer.

"I know this maybe weird and random, but you're smile is just so captivating." I said a little shyly.

"Why thank you, that means a lot coming from a beautiful girl like you." Chase smiled.

i looked down at my beer and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear then looked back up at Chase and smiled. "So tell me about yourself Chase." I said with a grin on my face.
