I hate school. As soon as I enter this horrid building I get chills. The atmosphere makes me want to shrivel in a ball and hide myself away from society.
I'm Aubrey. Aubrey Mellark. In other words, I'm just a kid from famous parents who is nothing like them. Well, everyone says I am, but truth is, I'm not. I feel like I want to punch any one who says it.
I sit in History, listening to the same boring stuff all day long. Panem this, Panem that. Hunger Games this, Hunger Games that. I try to ignore the teacher as much as possible, because I already know more than the teacher does from my parents' lectures.
"Aubrey." I hear. I look up and see the teacher standing before me.
"Yes?" I ask.
"Tell me. What year did your parents win?" Here we go again. 3rd time she's asked me.
"74th." I blurt with slight attitude. I get stares from around the room.
"Thank you." she says and leaves.
The bell rings and I feel relieved. I'm on the way to my locker when I am suddenly against the floor and on top of a boy.
