Me and Colby are at this club, we are a little tipsy and we have these hot guys dancing on us when all of a sudden I get a call. When I look to see the caller ID it was a random number but I decided to answer anyway.
" Hello is this Carter Moon " the random woman said on the phone
" Yes this is she "
" Regret to inform you that your parents and Colby Grace's parents have been in a crash and most likely will not survive " she said as my eyes filled with tears and I dropped to the floor
I just sat there motionless until Colby came to my side and she looked at me and said, " what happened Carter "
I just sat there crying trying to talk but all that came out was " hospital "
She just looked at me and knew something was wrong so she helped me up and took me to the car
Hospital
I ran in and to the desks and asked for my parents doctor. When she came out she told us the most upsetting news we could have heard that night.
"I am sorry to tell you that your parents did not make it threw the surgery we had to perform on them " I just broke
All I wanted to do was go home and cry all night with Colby and my dog by my side
At Colby's House
Colby just sat there with me lifeless. I guess we all have different ways of dealing with thing. In all honesty I just wanted my best friend and my dog to stay with me all night.
" Colby, can you stay with me and Stella tonight " She nodded and lays next to me and soon we fell asleep crying together.
When I woke up I almost forgot what happened last night. Keyword being " almost ".
I walked downstairs to see Colby cooking breakfast but when I looked at the time it was 12:30 pm.
" Why are you cooking breakfast in the afternoon "
" Because I wanted to Bitch "
" Ok Bitch as long as you have pancakes "
" you know I always do "
After she finished cooking we sat down to eat.
" Carter our parents lawyers called and said they left us all of there money and families money "
" Are you being serious right now " she nodded at smiles at me
" how much money are we talking "
" we are talking 100 million each " as she said that I dropped my fork and got up and started to dance around the room
" the first thing we are doing is moving start packing and looking for houses "
Later that day
I was packing my things at my home when I saw a picture of me and Colby's families together. I started to think of all the memories we had together and came up with an idea and called Colby
" Come to mine we are going to get a new tattoo "
" ok I am on my way "
After ten minutes of waiting she arrived
" What better way to remember our parents than a tattoo"
" you are so smart let's go " and off we headed to the tattoo shop that our friend owns
