WARNING: Honestly I thought I had a really good idea for the plot but now I just think it's lame. I might delete this book tbh and just focus on my other books. I feel like I'm trying way too hard at this, please let me know if you didn't like it. I want real constructive criticism. Thanks.

Once the last bell of the day rang, Silver, as always was already one his way back to his residence hall. Hate and anger brewed within him, as per usual, and several students cowered at the sight of him. That, again, was no surprise at all.

As Silver slammed the door of his dorm room closed, he let out a huge breath he didn't know he was holding. His facial features, which were formerly scrunched up into a scowl, relaxed for a split second as he took in the calm emptiness of the area.

However, his mood quickly soured once more as his sharp eyes landed on the pile of paperwork sitting on the far corner of his desk.

"That old man sent me another stack of shit," he mused to himself, eyeing it with distaste. As the heir of the Rockets, arguably the most wealthy family in the entire Kanto region, it was no surprise that he was already beginning to be whipped into shape to follow in his father's footsteps.

Silver, heaving a reluctant sigh, plopped himself down on his desk chair. He glared at the overwhelmingly tall tower of papers, mentally cursing at his father.

"I am not letting you be a failure."

You already failed as a parent, try harder next time, motherfucker. Silver couldn't help but chuckle sardonically at his own bitter thoughts.

People would think as the heir to an extremely rich family, Silver would've been born with a silver spoon in his mouth and spoiled rotten. That wasn't the case in the slightest; he was just a pawn, something to be used. A day will come when he assumes power, but for now, he was stuck as a pitiful bug that slaved away at useless paperwork in preparation for his future career.

His phone screen lit up, and Silver scoffed when he saw who the text was from. 'Do Not Answer', also known as his 'girlfriend' Casey. Good God, Silver knows he's on the path to marrying her at this point, and he decided he might just jump off a cliff before he does.

More money. The reason why he even had to look at the uncomfortably clingy girl in the first place. Sure, she was beautiful, but that didn't make up for the way she just wouldn't leave him alone. Silver and Casey weren't in love on either side. She treated him like her toy, bragging to all her friends how she managed to steal the heart of the brooding, stoic Silver Rocket, and flaunting him at events, taunting everyone around her.

Casey's romantic facade made Silver feel absolutely nauseous — especially since she took him as a fool. She doesn't seem to realize that Silver saw right past her bullshit from day one.

Silver's furious scribbling was the only sound heard throughout the room for who-knows-how-long. It was rather saddening, how much power his parent shad over him. They controlled every little thing he did, ever since he was a young boy. He knew they would never relinquish their hold on him, not until the very day that they died.

He hated it, being obedient to someone who treated him like he was a speck of dust. There really was no way around it; this is his family, and his future.

The lock of the door quietly clicked open, but Silver barely even glanced up, too absorbed in mentally insulting his father, over and over again.

"Hey grouch, it's time for dinner." Gold, his roommate, stuck his head in from the hallway, golden eyes glinting with a hint of worry. "Come eat with us."
