Jäger x IQ (Rainbow Six Siege Fanfiction)

Chapter 5

The pain was still there but he pretended that it wasn't there. He was used to things like this. But Jäger had just slipped over and smashed his wounded shoulder on a table.
"Schieße!" Marius shouted, grabbing his shoulder. He sat up and pulled his shirt away to reveal the still bandaged wound. He ripped away the bandage and noticed a small amount of blood leaking out. "For fucks sake..." he picked himself up and sighed "why..? What..?" He mumbled things to himself as he grabbed his apartment keys and painfully pulled on his trainers. Marius left the apartment and locked it behind him. He descended the stairs and walked to the main campus building.

He arrived at the building and searched out infirmary, seeing the doctor that patched him up a few weeks ago. She had just let one of the trainees leave and was standing by one of the beds. Marius approached her.
"Hey, Doc..."
"Hm?" She turned to him "oh, hello Streicher. How can I help you?" She put down the clipboard she had just been holding.
"I just managed to slip and hit my shoulder, nothing too bad... it's bleeding a little bit..." Marius pulled his shirt into a way that showed the bullet hole, the bandage was then torn off. She sighed and told him to sit on the bed. He sat down. The doctor stopped the bleeding then got a first-aid kit out, taking fresh bandages out. She dressed his shoulder and gently slapped it, signalling that it was all done.
"You should be more careful..." said the blonde doctor, her blue eyes looking at him in a way that she was actually telling him he's an idiot.
"Yeah yeah... that's what you said when I got shot." Marius slipped off the bed and onto his feet. "Thank you for patching me up, Doc."
"No problem..." she smiled at him "Ah, I almost forgot. How's Monika?" Her smile turned into a smirk. Jäger ifrowned and looked at her
"How do you mean?"
"the word going around the base is that you two are in a relationship,"
"I wouldn't put it like that..." he sighed and rubbed his face. The doctor chuckled and put the first-aid kit away.
"Mmhm... whatever lover-boy"
"later, Doc..." he sighed and walked out of the infirmary.

The Air Marshall was set on trying to find his friend, Bandit. Elias was walking the opposite direction down the hallway Marius was walking down. When he saw him, he winked at him and nudged his arm when they walked past each other. Marius was wondering how Dominic had known as he'd only been out with Monika twice, once to the cinema and another time to go into the park; her idea. He then remembered that he left to the park right after talking to him, which probably made him suspicious; leading to the fact that Dominic knew. The two of them hadn't yet made it official but everyone else thought they were a couple. Marius didn't know how he'd make it official, but then neither did Monika. Jäger went to the cafeteria, it was almost filled to the brim. The reason for this is that the recruits had just finished their training and became GSG9 operatives. He slinked through the crowds and found Elias, Dominic and Monika at a table in the corner of the hall. Marius sat down next to Monika as it was the only free seat. Dom and Eli had obviously planned this just by looking at the expression plastered on their faces.

Dom and Eli sat back in their chairs, crossing their arms. The blondes opposite them both raised an eyebrow
"So... Maronika, eh?" Dominic smirked, receiving a death-glare from Marius. Monika went a little red and frowned at Dominic.
"You thought of a name for us?"
"Of course. You two are a couple... aren't you?" Elias leaned forwards on his elbows. Jäger and IQ looked at each other. Jäger looked at the two devilish fiends sitting opposite.
"Yeah, we are..." Monika didn't stop looking at Marius. She was embarrassed. He looked back at his now confirmed girlfriend and smiled a little
"We are a couple..."
"Aww! You two are so cute!" Dominic laughed and quickly jumped up, running through the crowd before Marius could even try and end his life.
"I hate him so much..." Jäger sighed
"You don't mean that..." Monika reassured him, putting a hand on his arm
"No, I don't, but he can be so irritating sometimes" Monika nodded and looked at Elias.
"He isn't lying y'know... you two do go well together..." Blitz clicked his fingers, a habit that he's had since he was young.
"Thank you, Elias..." Monika smiled at him, then at the Air Marshall. Elias stood up.
"I'm going to make sure Dominic is packing his stuff to leave before Streicher kills him" He laughed and patted Marius on the back, walking away.

Monika and Marius were now left alone on the table. Both feeling awkward to eternity. Both trying to figure out what to do next.
"Want to come by mine tonight?"
"Sure! And do what... exactly?"
"Don't know... watch a movie?"
"Sounds good" IQ smiled and quickly pecked his lips, getting off the bench "I'll see you later." She winked at him and quickly disappeared through the crowd. Jäger touched his lips and smiled to himself
"Alright then..." he got up and went back to his apartment building, going over the past events in his mind.
