A boulder crashes next to us, turning to rubble upon impact.
"GO! KEEP RUNNING AND DON'T LOOK BACK!"
"NO I WON'T LEAVE YOU BEHIND!"
"I SAID GO DAMMIT! RUN!"
A hand grips mine, dragging me away from the scene as he readies his greatsword.
"NOOOOO! LET ME GOOOOO! I HAVE TO HELP HI-"
I am cut off by an ear piercing screech from the terrifying creature.
"COME GET SOME YOU PRICK! NRAAAAAGH!"
"NOOOOO! KUGAMI!"
                    -             -            -
I jolt awake when i feel an unusual amount of weight on my chest and a slight, excited yip.
"Ugh.... Get off Juno...."
"Ruff!"
"I said down girl..."
Juno whimpers and licks my face.
I open my eyes to meat the face of a happy wolf pup.
"What is it? Im trying to sleep here...."
The only reply i get is a lick on the nose.
"Your right, it is today.... Thanks Juno..."
Juno jumps off my and runs to my apperal laying in a pile in the corner. I stand up with a deep yawn and walk over to the pile and don my clothes. I reach down and start to get dressed.

A few moments later i am dressed in slightly baggy black jeans and a black t-shirt. I look around trying to see if i forgot anything when I notice my training sword in its sheath. I grab it and sling it onto my back before walking outside.
I step outside to see my trainer, a middle aged, graying man, already waiting for me. His name is Nicholas Princeton and he is a former military captain. He retired when he returned from a two-year tour, the only one in his squad to return. He is now my trainer and closest companion, besides Juno of course.
     "Morning sir" I say, bowing.
" Indeed it is..... Let's go"
      "Yes sir."
We walk off toward the nearest town, Sendin, were we usually train. It is about a 39 minute walk to get there. When we do, we pass immediately through the market district, smells of fresh bread and fish meld together in the strangest ways. The bustling community ends when we arrive in the fields, the district just before the upper class district. We stop at an open patch of firm dirt, our usual spot for combat training.
"Get in your stance, son. We shall begin with a spar." He watches me closely, almost like he is studying me.
       "Yes sir..."
I reach for my sword handle and unsheathe my blade. Just as I do a loud, head splitting screech reaches my ears. Followed by a loud explosion that shakes the ground beneath me. When i turn to see what happened I am greeted by the sight of flames...
