"Eve why are you running away?" said a man in his 30's. I was shaking and sobbing as I tried to get away. As the cold, spine-chilling voice of the 30 year old man spoke again "Eve it's okay, I won't hurt you." I stopped running, I couldn't move anymore, all I could do was stand there shaking and sobbing in silence. I awaken to see a pair of mystical eyes, staring at me with concern, as I notice Jasper speaking to me in a soothing voice asking me "Eve are you alright?" I nodded my head slowly, as I took notice that I was shaking and sweating all over.

Jasper spoke to me again in that gentle tone "Eve what's wrong? Do you want to talk about?" I whispered my responds, to shaken to speak "I'm o-o-o-okay no-o-ow, where a-a-are we?" Jasper seemed to relax a little as he said in a happy tone "We are now at the best ice cream shop in town." I giggled at the remark he said, because of all the enthusiasm behind his words.

We exited the car to see Lucas, Axel, Seth, and Melany waiting for us. Lucas spoke as he went in between Jasper and I "Eve you get your ice cream and then we are going home, you hear me?" I nodded as we entered the ice cream shop. We got in line as Jasper spoke to the tall, blond lady behind the register machine "We'd like two, Cookies and Cream tubs, please." The lady melted with his voice, as she tried to respond back seductively "Anything for you, cupcake." She failed. Melany and Seth got some Strawberry ice cream as Axel and Lucas got some Chocolate ice cream. We ate in silence, as we finished eating, we left the store and started heading towards the cars.

We all reached the cars, when a group of, I'd say about 15 guys came out. The one who seemed to be the leader was somewhat tall about 5'9. He had shaggy semi-short black hair, that was slicked back, to reveal black eyes. The guy was wearing black dress pants, and a black opened vest. He spoke in a menacing voice "Well, well, if it ain't little old Jasper, who are your little friends?" Jasper stepped in front of me as he said in a cold tone "Well nice to see you again, Ashton, but you see I'm in a hurry so we'll catch up later." With all that being said we, Lucas, Axel, Seth, Melany, Jasper and I, got into the cars and drove back home in silence. I didn't ask anything I saw no point.

As we reached my house Jasper parked next to Axel's car, as we all exited out. Lucas seemed to be deep in though as I said my goodbyes to Jasper. Before Jasper got the chance to get into his car Lucas spoke "Jasper stay the night with us okay." We looked at Lucas with astonishment, Jasper spoke quickly "Are you sure it's okay?" Lucas nodded, as he walked into the apartment building. Seth just shrugged and entered the building with Axel and Melany following. Me and Jasper just stood there as I went straight to the point "Have you meet Lucas before, and not like seen him in school but, a long time ago as in when you were children?" Jasper looked at me coldly and said "No, I don't" Then he just walked by me and entered the building.

I stayed there in the silence of the night. I wasn't ready to go back in, so I decided to go out for a little walk around the park, since there was one near the apartment complex. I went over to the the larger red and blue swing set, as I sat down on the left one, the one closest to the small yellow slide. I started to move the swing, when it was stopped by the chain. I turned around to see if it was Jasper, but I was dead wrong. It was those 15 guys from before. The leader, Ashton, said in a cold tone "Well now dear, do you think its smart to be out by yourself at night?"

I just stared at him for what seemed like forever, when he grabbed me by the arm and dragged me off the swing. I stood up, dusting the sand off my ass, when someones fist made contact with my stomach. I had the air knocked out of me but I stood my ground, as I noticed that a girl was the one that punched me. As she got into a fighting poss she kicked me on the back of my left leg as I fell to the floor. I started to receive some kicks to the ribs when, someone showed up. I was starting to lose consciousness, when a man with a black mask, stopped the girl and sent her flying, halfway across the park.

Aston looked at the man with a terrified expression as he said "What the hell are you doing here, weren't you dead?" The man just smiled as he said in a deep British accent "I'm standing in front of you aren't I?" I was fighting to keep my eyes open, when the man suddenly, in three swift movements knocked down all 15 guys standing. Ashton, who was covered in blood barely manged to say "W-w-when the organization finds o-o-out your alive..." Before he could continue he blacked out, as I was about to as well, but before I did I looked up to notice a pair of piercings blue eyes, as I whispered to my savor "What's your name?" It was a light whisper but I heard "River" Then I blacked out.

I awakened feeling like hell, as the memories from last night flooded my mind. River. I look around to see that I wasn't in my room, but I did hear familiar voices outside. I stood up, barely, and made my way to the door as I turned the knob I heard Lucas scream "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?" I decided to wait a few moments before heading out. A guy with a deep British accent spoke "Ashton, and the others were beating the poor girl, all I did was stop them and bring her to my house." Ah that's why I didn't recognize the room. I turned the knob slowly and walked out, all eyes where on me.

Axel ran to my side to help me steady myself, as I started to walk towards the sofa in the living room. Jasper spoke first "I'm sorry Eve, this is all my fault if I hadn't..." I cut in by saying "It is no one's fault, can we please go home so I can take a shower." Lucas nodded as he went over to my side to help me up, but I told him it wasn't necessary, as I walked up to River and whispered "Thank you." I was feeling faint again as River picked me up and whispered to Jasper, Lucas, and Axel "Let her stay here the night you guys go home I'll take care of her. Lucas was going to protest but he didn't, as they exited the house I was taken back to the room. Before I drifted of to sleep I asked him "What are you?" He smiled for the first time and said "You'll find out soon."

I was having that dream again. I was running and sobbing as a man in his 30's yelled "Eve why are you running, I won't hurt you." He was always chasing me, and then the memory of what he did came back. I awakened screaming to see River rushing into the room, as he asked me "What happened to you?" I just stared at him and started to cry, something I hadn't done in a long time. He hugged me gently and whispered "Eve what happened?" I told him in a shaky tone "I can't talk about it." He just nodded and let me be.

When I calmed down I asked him once again "What are you?" He smiled and said "Well for one I'm pretty sure I'm not human." So I told him "Then what are you?" He chuckled and said in a mesmerizing voice "Well you could say I'm a type of angel." I looked at him with a baffled expression, which made him chuckle again as he said "Well I'm more like a half-breed Angel. I'm part demon part angel, that's not supposed to happen but I am an exception." I stared at his piercing blue eyes that had sadness in them. I smiled at him and asked "Does that include Jasper, Lucas, Axel, Seth, and Melany?" He looked a little shocked and said "You catch on pretty fast. Okay I'll tell you what they are as well, Jasper is a Pure blood Vampire, Seth is an Alpha Werewolf, while Lucas and Axel are Shape shifters, and finally Melany is a spirit."

It was a lot to take in, so he stayed in silence until I was ready to talk again. I let out a big sigh and asked "Do you know why he adopted me?" He smiled and said "I do, but don't you think it is better to ask him, instead of me." I nodded and asked him "Could you call them over so I can ask him?" River stood up and got the phone and called them over. After he hung up the phone we just talked about random things. Then there was a knock on the door, they were here.
