Act One: Prelude
12:21pm, May 21st...
The flash killed those closest to it; The radiation turned those who survived to melted ghouls, shells of the men and women they used to be; Those sheltered and stubborn were starved out, afraid of the changed outside world with no rations left.
Most people left turned to daylight robbery to survive, "helping" people who couldn't protect themselves for a small fee.
Connor was a person under said protection, until escaping from the village because he couldn't pay up, leaving his family behind.
