Carrying on with the day of my You Me At Six concert..
After I got ready, my CLOSEST friend, Chris, came round about 11 as we couldn't contain our excitement. Then we were about to set off for our journey to the Liverpool O2 Academy to see our idols.
I think I'm best to tell you a little bit about my best friend Chris because, he will be mentioned quite a bit. Chris is my best friend and we've known eachother since we were born because our Mums used to be good friends in High School. He's like my brother, he knows my life story. We've been through so much together. We've had our ups and downs but we'll always remain loyal to eachother. It's amazing having someone to be there for you throughout every day of your life, if I never had Chris or You Me At Six, there would be no point in me living.
Oh and also, one or two months ago, there was a competition on Twitter to win You Me At Six Meet and Greets, Chris and I both put or names down for it but my Mum told us we never won them because we used her email for the competition. I didn't expect much anyay. I didn't think we'd win.
Or, that's what I thought..
When it came to about 12:30pm, my Mum drove Chris and I to the Academy, and while she was driving, I thought I'd write Josh a letter as Chris was writing one for Dan. Mine read:
"Dear Josh,
My name is Jack Windsor. I am 22 years old and I'll admit this, I worship you. Sounds cringey right?
I'm mainly writing this letter to tell you that you inspire me. You've and the guys have stopped me from wanting to commit suicide by your lyrics and your amazing voice. I respest you for not standing for any shit and if someone says something about you that you don't want to hear, you'll tell them fucking straight how it is. I wish I was more like that. I always kept myself to myself, even through getting bullied, I got put off liking girls at my college because of dickhead guys telling me the nicest looking girl in our year liked me when she obviously didn't, she only knew my name because I was one of the losers.
You've made me stronger and the person that I am today. You, Chris, Matt, Max and Dan, I thank you all so much. I'd appreciate it if you read this letter, if you don't have time or don't get it, then that's alright. I understand. You've probably got plenty of other letters to read anyway!
Also, we should go for a drink one time, y'know? As mates? Get to know my existence a bit more instead of just reading a letter. Would be good. We could go to Nando's too. I know you love that place. :-)
Thank you if you took your time to read this. I love you and needed this all out.
Yours Sincerely,
Jack Windsor :-)"
I know it sounds really cringey and cheesy but.. He needed to know how I felt about You Me At Six and how they've helped me through everything.
When Chris and I got to the Academy, we couldn't believe that we were finally here! I saw the sign that read "YOU ME AT SIX - SOLD OUT" on the front and I just wanted to collapse, there and then. We were about to leave the car and then my Mum said to me,
"Jack! You've forgotten something!"
I stood there with a puzzled look on my face as I checked my pockets and bag, I had the tickets, my phone, my keys AND my camera, what could I have forgotten?
Then my Mum handed me an envelope.
