Wednesday Morning.

"You can kiss me in the daaaark." I sing while showering.

I step out of the shower and dry myself slower than usual. "I'm so tired. I don't know why."

7:30 am "Pill"

"Ugh...." I run to my bedside table and grab the pack of pills and take my daily dose.

"This is gonna be a long day." I walk to my closet and throw on some leggings and a big shirt that says 'SENIOR' on the back of it with my white converse.

After getting ready I grab my shit and slowly walk down the stairs.

"Hey Paige.. You alright?" mom asks.

"I'm fine just tired. And it's that time of the month.." I pull my hair back into a low ponytail and sit at the table.

"Ah, I see. That's the best part of the month." she says.

"I don't appreciate your sarcasm mother." I groan.

"Daughter, just because you're on your period doesn't mean that I can't have some fun." she says somewhat sternly.

"Sorry." I lay my head down.

"Breakfast is served." mom leaves a plate of eggs and weenies on the table.

"Thank you Mom." I semi-smile.

"You're welcome. It's time for me to go, but have a good day. Don't stress too much. Okay?" she says to me while grabbing her things.

"Alright. Love you." I wave at her.
"Love you too. Don't forget to lock the door." she reminds.

"I won't, see you tonight." I reply quickly.

She closes the door softly and I continue eating my breakfast. I open my messages and text Apryl. "Hey Apryl." I send to her.

I wait a few minutes.

Ring.

"Hey babe. How are you?" She asks.

I reply. "I'm doing okay. I just wanted to say have a good day today."

Ring.

"I will. You too Paige. And I miss you." She says.

"I miss you too."

I lock my phone and stand up to put my dish in the sink. I grab a water and my bag and head to the door.

I open the door and take my keys from the hook and lock the door behind me.

"Let's get this day over with." I sigh and get into my truck and start the engine.

I turn up the radio once I hear one of my favorite songs come on. "Oh yes! I love this song."

"Let it fade to black, let me run my fingers down your back, let's whisper let's don't talk.... Strip it down..." I sing along.

I pull into the school's driveway to find Adrian being harassed by the blonde snob from my first day. I grab my stuff and hop out of the truck, quickly locking it and fast-walking toward the,.

"So you're like a lesbian, right? You like chicks? What kind of chicks?" the blonde asks, talking a million miles a minute.

"I-I mean.. I do like..." Adrian sputters out.

"Hey honey, What's up?" I stroll up next to her. "Are you having some trouble over here?" Adrian looks at me and shakes her head.

"Honey... I think you need to mind your business." the snob, who I later found out, her name was Bobbie.

"I think you need to get your panties out of your ass because you're being a real bitch." I pull my backpack up on my shoulder and Adrian looks at me with wide eyes.

"You sure are bold, country girl." She replies.

"You sure are stuck up." I take the iced coffee from her hands and take a sip, but come to find a bitter taste. I spit it out next to her feet. "You should really try something that doesn't have your bitter attitude in it." I hand it back to her, grab Adrians hand, and walk off.

"You're crazy, country girl." She calls after me.

I turn and walk backwards to see her face, "I prefer happy with a twist, bitch." I turn back around and continue into the school with Adrian.
