"Violet, what's wrong dear?" Her mother was concerned about her well- being. For three days, Violet had not eaten, her skin was paler than usual and her eyes - usually bright and full of life - were dull, and bags had formed under them. Her mother waited for an explanation, but she never got one- Just a small head shake. Her mother decided, Violet would tell her when she was ready- denial-.
