Jessa managed to leave work an hour and a half earlier than she had been scheduled. She raced out of the diner and drove frantically back home. Her stomach had been tied in knots from the moment she saw both Trevor and Scarlett's faces. She knew that Dan could handle Scarlett for the time being, but she desperately needed to talk to Trevor. She knew he'd be hurt regardless, but she held out hope that he'd have a different opinion once she had the chance to explain that she had never and would never cheat on him. She thew her car into park and she hurried herself to the apartment. She slid her key into the lock and opened the door. She was greeted with an eerie quietness that was unusual for their apartment. She walked by Dan's room. The door was open and the light was turned off – he was obviously out somewhere with Scarlett. Jessa stepped closer to the room she shared with Trevor. She saw the lights glowing from under the closed door. She inhaled deeply and opened the door. "Trevor I managed to -" She blinked back her tears when she saw that Trevor was occupying his time waiting for her return with another woman bent over in front of him. From the brief moment she saw before closing the door and racing to the bathroom, both appeared to be thoroughly enjoying themselves, with his hand tangled in her long hair and thrusts shoving her head into their – his headboard. She tried to block the increased noises of pleasure flowing from his room as she retched every last morsel of food she had last eaten. Her stomach continued to spasm upwards even after there was nothing left to bring up. Her hands trembled as she reached up to flush the toilet. She managed to get herself to her feet so that she could brush her teeth. She barely recognized the woman looking back at her in the mirror. Her eyes lacked their usual brightness and the dark rings under them accentuated the tiredness she constantly felt. Her cheeks were stained with the tears she never realized fell upon her cheeks. She turned on the tap and rinsed her face off first, then brushed her teeth. The noises had stopped and Jessa felt that it was safe to make it to the living room. She wasn't going to be staying the night, but she needed to get her clothes from Trevor's room before she left. She opened the door and took two steps towards the living room when Trevor's bedroom door swung open and a thin, pretty woman stepped out.
"Hi." The woman greeted as she passed by Jessa.
Jessa gritted her teeth and nodded at her, using every fiber in her body to hold back any tears or to open her mouth.
"Don't worry. That's just Jessa. We let her crash on our couch." Trevor placed his hand on the woman's back and escorted her to the door.
"I'll message you when I get back, okay?" T he woman half-giggled/half said to Trevor.
"Sure. You do that." Jessa turned her head as he leaned down to kiss the woman goodbye. He shut the door gently behind the woman and locked the door. "You're home early."
"I told you I would be." Jessa whispered. "You said we could talk."
"So? You're here. Talk to me."
"Nothing I say will ever...you've made up your mind." Jessa rushed into the room and pulled open her drawers, pulling out a pair of jeans, some panties, a bra, and a couple of shirts. She grabbed her backpack and shoved the items into the bag.
"No Jessa, YOU made up my mind. You have nobody to blame but yourself."
Jessa looked up for a moment and glared angrily at Trevor. "How the FUCK can you blame you fucking some bitch on me?"
Trevor narrowed his eyes. "When I whore around, I make sure to not get anyone pregnant. I would have had a little more respect for you if you had been up front about it. You hid it for almost a month!"
Jessa choked on her tears. "I didn't whore – I-" She ran past Trevor and headed to the couch. She stuffed her blanket into her pillowcase and then walked out to her car. She would never be able to explain things to him, but knowing that fact didn't stop the pain from destroying her. She locked her car door and hugged her pillow. She had no clue as to where she'd spend the night. She had nobody – she was completely alone and that scared her the most.
