What is your username?

A. Voyageavecmoi

When did you join Wattpad? And for how long have you been writing (in general)?

A. I joined wattpad summer 2012. I've been writing since 1999 on and off.

What can you tell us about the current story you’re working on? Tell us a little about the plot and the characters in it?

A. Survival is my current adventure/sci-fi/post-apocalyptic baby and has a strange collection of individuals. In fact, you'll probably spend more time craving the reveal if character's secrets than worrying about the plot (which twists towards the dark side lately). Cynthia is a mother braving the post-apocalypse and looking for her family, namely her husband and young son. Her work as an ER nurse gave a certain advantage taking care of herself and others. She's strong even when it's hard to be. Gunnar is a young man who already knows how cruel the world can be coming from a world tainted by poverty and gang involvement. He can detach easily enough from situations which usually serves to his advantage, except with one young woman. Edward is a goofball who spent a bit too much time living in his mother's basement after college. He gets by on a combination of humour, personal fantasies and unfounded self-confidence. Vita is a young woman who knows what she needs to do to get through her tough breaks but soon finds herself weakened at the hands of a mysterious illness.

Why do you think the readers should read your story (mention the factors which will be appealing to the readers)?

A. According to others, my characters are entertaining and complex while the plot keeps you constantly guessing and mistrusting characters. My focus is on building this post-apocalyptic world through the eyes of survivors from different walks of life as well as leaving little undercurrents that hopefully make you think about issues and injustices in our current world.

Which is your favorite character, in the current story you are working on?

A. Gunnar is my favourite because he's such an onion character- so many layers. He's been so closed off due to his unfortunate life experience in the seventeen straight years he's been 'living'. He isn't a character that you'd like at the beginning or necessarily fawn over but you have to give him credit for the way he powers through situations and makes it to another day, mostly because he's been at this his whole life. My heart goes out to him since he's created after a few years experience working with children and teens in inner city. I took all the moments I just wanted to cry out at the unfairness these kids face and channeled it into him.

How many stories have you posted on Wattpad (excluding short stories)?

A. Three stories and one collection of short stories.

Can you tell us about your other stories, any two other stories that you are working on?

A. Adventures in South East Asia is a travelogue, non-fiction I add to every once in awhile. It follows the two months I spent travelling on my own last Spring. If you've ever wondered what Thailand, Myanmar, Laos or Indonesia are like, those are the topics I'll be covering.

More to Life is a romance/general fiction set in Thailand that I completed in January. Brianna comes to Thailand heartbroken and hopes to escape by teaching English. The friends and experiences she comes across help to reshape her world view and open her eyes to see she's not the only one facing personal demons.

Do you offer critiques to other users? If you have offered a critique, mention that story?

A. I do offer critiques. I've probably done a number in the hundreds over the past year or so it's hard to mention a specific story.

Do you write for yourself or for the readers?

A. A bit of both. I would keep writing even without readers as I always have. But I enjoy the insights of my readers and they some prompt different plot points or help me develop sections I might otherwise have glossed over.

Describe yourself in ten words.

A. Weird, fun-loving hippie at heart determined to explore the world.
