*bell rings*
Mrs. Tolles: "ok everyone in your seats! Your sponge is on the board so get to work."
*after sponge is complete*
Mrs. Tolles: "ok so I have an announcement. Ms. Levengood would like a TA, so anyone up for it?"
*Che, Tyler, and John raise there hands*
Mrs. Tolles: "They need to be honest, responsible, and hard working."
Ryan: "So not Che."
Me: "Or Tyler."
Max: "Or John."
Mrs. Tolles: *laughs*
Tyler: "I'm responsible!"
Che: "Me too!"
John: "..."
Me: "No, no you aren't."
Mrs. Tolles: "Ok just putting that option out there so let's move on. We need to work on lead-ins for our essays. Let's take the prompt that of Tom and Huck being true friends. Who wants to share their quotes?"
Bella: *hands quote log to Mrs. Tolles*
Mrs. Tolles: *puts it under projector*
"Ok, what would be a good lead-in for the first quote?"
Class: "..."
Mrs. Tolles: "Ok...how have some of your friendships with people started?"
Me: "Well my friendship with Sophia started with her announcing in PE that the corner she was sitting in was very comfortable."
Sophia D.: *chuckles*
Sophia K.: "My friendship with my friend started with her walking up to me and saying 'hey, you look funny, wanna be friends?'".
Mrs. Tolles: "Well that's interesting."
Cooper: "Before I was friends with Nate I was afraid of him because he looked really intimidating and had this hat that had 'Natedog' written on it."
Mrs. Tolles: "Natedog the 90s rapper?" *laughs hysterically*
Samantha: what?!
Class: *laughing really hard*
Max: *falls out of his chair from laughing so hard*
Ben: "I used to tell Nate his head was on fire."
Mrs. Tolles: "...why?!"
Ben: "I was helping!"
Mrs. Tolles: "Unless his head is actually on fire, you aren't helping."
Ben: "But he's a red-head, so it looks like his hair is on fire! I wasn't trying to be racist or anything."
Class: *starts laughing really hard again*
Mrs. Tolles: "Red hair isn't a race!!!"
Ryan: "I thought this was an honors class..."
Me: "It's supposed to be..."
Nate: "See what I have to put up with, Mom?!"
Mrs. Tolles: "I'm sorry."
(Author's note: Mrs. Tolles is NOT actually Nate's mom. The people at my school will be like "NO DERP ISSY" but I still feel like I need to put this in here. You may continue reading now.)
Maddie: "Olivia-*points to Olivia who is sitting next to her*-used to hate me so I tried really hard to get her to like me until we became friends."
Mrs. Tolles: "Seriously?! You guys have the weirdest stories."
Me: "The last week of school we should just have a story time."
Samantha: "Yes!"
Cooper: "Yes!"
Bella: "Yes!"
Keele: "Yes!"
Rest of class: "Yes!"
Newport Beach: "Yes!"
The state of California: "Yes!"
The United States: "Yes!"
The whole world: "YES!!!"
Justin Bieber: "What's the big deal?"
The world: SHUT UP JUSTIN BIEBER NO ONE LIKES YOU.
Canada: *pretends like they don't know JB*
Jackson: *in a creepy voice* "I'll tell you a story."
Me: "Jackson that's scary."
Mrs. Tolles: "Ok let's get back to the lesson. Can anyone give a suggestion for a lead-in?"
Me: "Well maybe you could have a sentence stating how friendships could start with someone admiring and admirable and outgoing person. If that makes any sense at all."
Mrs. Tolles: "Ok, that's a good start, but we need a second part."
Me: "Ok. Maddie, you're up!"
Maddie: *looks around the classroom looking really confused and scared*
Me: *laughs really hard* "OMG YOUR FACE."
Olivia: *starts laughing*
Nate: "This isn't that funny guys."
Me: "Yes it really is actually."
Mrs. Tolles: "Ok we seriously need to get to work done today so I'm going to check you're quotes."
*as Mrs. Tolles walks by*
Me: "Mrs. Tolles?"
Mrs. Tolles: "Hmm?"
Me: "I have a book where I write down funny conversations I have with my friends, so can I put what just happened today in that book?"
Mrs. Tolles: Sure.
Me: *yells to the class* YOU'RE ALL GOING TO BE IN A BOOK NOW. YEAH, HAVE FUN WITH THAT.
Jack: "...?"
Bella: "Ummm...?"
Me: "Ha ha, yeah, have fun with that."
