Mayor's Possession (Book 2 Finished)

1*Departure*

''No no no, this is a dream. Please don't.'' I cried, holding the phone close to my chest. I never thought I was cursed to lose people, I loved. My heart started to ache. A car quickly stopped near me when I was welling, I looked up in shock. I was in the middle of the road, alone. Someone rolled out of the car and ran towards me. Through my blurry vision, I saw Jace approaching me and hurriedly gripping me tightly.

''Lemme go.'' I yelled and even kicked him. It was like all over again. I had to escape, I can't let him do that. And then half of my mind went back to the text again, my body was restless and weak. He pulled me inside his car and shut the door closed. All I remember is passing out and nothing else!

My head was spinning when I woke up, my neck aching bad. I rubbed my eyes, it took me few minutes to conduct what has actually happened. I quickly sat up in the bed and looked around, it was dark. Where the hell was I? My heart was pounding in my chest. I have been to a situation before where I didn't know about my we hereabouts. I heard the door knob being swirled. Someone got inside and locked the door behind him again. It then hit me, it was Jace.

''Why?''I slowly whispered, shivering inside my skin, I tried to get up but I was weak.

''You will know.'' Jace came out of the dark, revealing his face as the dim light from the lamp fall on his face.

''Why are you doing this to me, what do you want?'' I yelled my lungs to bleed but this only formed a smile on his lips.

''I want many things with you, from you, but trust me, right now it is none.'' he was more concerned about the surrounding then looking at me. He kept roaming across the room while rubbing his hands.

''Listen! lemme go and I won't tell anyone about this.'' I requested but stayed put on the bed. I didn't want to struggle because I knew he was stronger then me.

''How about I get you something to eat first?'' he finally stopped walking and passed me an annoying smirk. Dialling some number on his phone, he uttered something. 

''Jace! you are making a mistake.''I was still feeling dizzy and all this kidnapping thing was absurd. He knew there was no way he could ever hide this from Xavier, and once he figures out about my abduction, he will kill him in one fell swoop.

''Ah, the food is here.'' I looked at the women with the tray in her hands. My heart fell down in my stomach when Miranda gave me a smile.

''What the hell is she doing here?'' Panic hit my nerves, I threw the blanket away and quickly jumped on my feet, still feeling dizzy.

''Don't do anything stupid.'' Jace growled, marching in my direction. He pulled his hand to reach out for me but I slapped it away. ''Phoenix.'' it was his anger that he grabbed my arm and dropped me on the bed.

''let go,'' I shouted but he kept blocking my attempts of punching him in the face. He then pulled his face closer to mine and that's when I halted struggling, what the hell was he planning to do?

''You tempt me.'' I felt his whisper on my skin and for a second I froze. ''Don't make me do things that I and you, we both will regret.'' he slowly loosened his grip over my wrist and tried getting up. But before he does anything, I kicked him in his chest hence he fall back in pain,

''Guess who tempted me to do that?'' I shouted but then Miranda approached me, she really thought she could control me?. As soon as she fought to get a hold of my grip, I wrapped my fingers around her neck and choked her. Making her take a few steps back, I squeezed her neck in my hand. Taking an opportunity to grab the knife from the tray, I turned her over and pulled the knife near her neck.

''You make one more move and she dies, Jace,'' I stared at Jace in rage, he maintained to posture straight, making sure I don't hurt Miranda. ''You know I can do that.'' he knew what I meant by that.

''She is crazy.'' Miranda was sobbing but since she had her back towards me, I couldn't see the fear in her eyes.

''You don't wanna do that.'' Jace mumbled.

''Really, you have no idea how badly I've been wanting to do that.'' I spat the words out in anger. ''Now I'm leaving and if you moved a muscle, she will never be able to move hers again.'' I threatened him while slowly making her to walk towards the door. I wasn't going to allow them to keep me here against my will. 

''Just don't---,'' when Miranda decided to protest, I held the knife close into her skin.She was trembling, I could literally hear her heart beating from the back of her body.

I was taking her along while moving backwards, I couldn't let Jace out of my sight so taking back steps was an only option. I ceased before the door and slowly stretched my hand back to open up the door. As I did, I didn't see outside but there was a feeling that someone was standing behind me. Ignoring everything, I pushed Miranda forward and just when I turned, I bumped onto someone. In panic, I raised my face

''Xavier?'' My eyes were bugged out like I've seen a ghost. He narrowed his eyes and what woke me up was his grip. He roughly grabbed my arms and pulled me inside the the room again.

''You can't control one fragile girl?'' his voiced filled the room in silence and terror. Everyone froze for a moment. He was holding me away from him by my arm. My mind was blocked now, he was my kidnapper?
