It's dark. I feel tired. I can see my breath, however, I'm not cold. I'm alone. One firefly. Two fireflies. Three fireflies. I blink and now there are hundreds of them. I feel the grass underneath my feet. I like the tingling sensation. It's calming.
Suddenly I'm not tired. I feel like dancing. I make a step. And then another one. I throw my head back. I gaze at the night sky. Oh? It's there. I see it. I see a falling star.
Should I make a wish? What do I wish for? I close my eyes. Money? No. World peace? This is a bit too much 'Miss World'. A decent sleeping schedule? A delicious caramel macchiato delivery every morning? A cuddle buddy? An endless stream of love and attention towards me? My crush liking me back? God, what do I wish for?
I squeeze my eyes tighter. I cannot decide on a wish. I open my eyes. Huh, it is already gone. The falling star is nowhere to be seen. I missed my chance.
Well, it is not a big deal. After all a falling star is nothing but a rock in flames. Or is it?
