Chapter Seven

The group were sitting in a circle, around where the fire was lit last night. Everyone was discussing things and trying to pass the time.

Sasha started to lean forward as she dozed off.

"Sasha, wake up!" Ymir yelled as Sasha shot up.

"I'm awake!" She yawned.

"Did you even get any sleep last night?" Mikasa asked her.

"Not really. I woke up last night and I really needed to pee so I walked for about ten minutes so I could go far away and after that I couldn't get back to sleep with Connie's snoring..." Sasha smiled.

"So that's why I woke up and you weren't there.." Connie exclaimed. "I was actually getting kind of worried until I realised you were probably eating or taking a whizz.."

"Wake yourself up, we're about to set out!" Marco smiled.

"Out? Out where?" Christa asked.

"Shardis wanted us to go hiking for the second day, maybe that's what he's talking about.." Thomas explained.

"That's exactly what I mean!" Marco confirmed. Armin shuffled around on the log he was sitting on.

"Hike?" He asked.

"That's right!" Marco repeated. "Don't worry, we'll take a break whenever you need to.."

"No, No... I won't burden the group.." Armin sighed.

"It's really no trouble, we'll wait for you.." Eren smiled.

"We should get going now.." Reiner explained as he sat up and grabbed his backpack. Everyone followed him and they set off.

They followed a path for a while, one near a riverside. Everything was going fine, and Armin wasn't struggling too much.

"How you holding up, Armin?" Eren asked from the front of the group.

"Oh, I'm fi-!" Armin slipped on some mud and fell right into the river.

"ARMIN!!" Everyone yelled, besides Ymir and Annie.

Jean quickly headed towards Armin, who was struggling to stay afloat. Marco grabbed his arm before he could.

"Go slowly! It'll be no good if you trip too!" He yelled. Jean nodded as he slowly inched his way towards Armin.

Jean quickly swept Armin up into his arms on carried him back to the path. Armin rested his head on the taller boy's shoulder and coughed, shivering and soaking wet.

"We should hurry back and get him dry!" Bertholdt panicked, sweating profusely.
