"Gabi, no!" Seemed to be all I heard from both Hoseok, Jungkook and Jin, but I didn't care.

I couldn't let Hoseok also lose his bending skills just because of me. Jin had already suffered, and I couldn't bare it to happen again.

So it did what was best, and placed the gas mask on top of Hoseok's face. He protested, but due to his battle with his mom earlier he was exhausted, and I could overpower him easily for a change.

Except for Hoseok's mother giggling, it was silent as the smoke cleared up, revealing my friend with horrified expressions painting their features.

"What good friends you have, Hobi." She giggled again. "The avatar offering her powers to save yours? Now that's what I call friends for life." She sighed deeply before bending over and reaching out to grab the gas mask. "Shame she can't protect you now."

Jin and Jungkook continued to watch in horror as they stood helpless, watching everything unravel as she got hold of another gas bomb.

But I still felt it.

I don't know how, or why, but I did.

And then I used it.

I took a deep breath, and used all me power to send my lightening against her chest.

Everyone stared in shock - myself included - as a strong, violet coloured bolt of light escaped my fingers, landing onto her chest.

She fell to the ground, and for a second, nothing could be heard. There was just silence, other than the heavy breathing of Hoseok, Jungkook and I, and some soft mumbling escaping Jin's beaten lips.

"G-Gabi." Jin breathed as Hoseok watched his mom in horror, as she lay motionless on the floor. Jungkook seemed to be frozen from shock as well, so I quickly reached over to Jin to help him up.

"Let's go, guys." I told them while trying to stabilise Jin onto his two feet.

Jungkook quickly shook his head as he rushed over to help me carry Jin, still not able to speak.

"I-Is she...?" Hoseok choked, his eyes still not leaving his mother.

I quickly shook my head as we started moving towards the direction we had been going to, Hoseok hesitantly trailing behind as he watched me with confusion.

"I didn't use my total charge." I explained as we finally started to make a move. "Yoongi learned me how to contain myself. It was strong enough to knock her out for a good hour, but it won't kill her."

"Ah." Hoseok breathed. "Thank you. I mean, I'm sorry, it's weird, she tried to take our powers and-"

"But it's still your mom?" I finished for him as we finally reached a door.

"Yeah." Hoseok spoke quietly as he lead us towards a black minivan parked in front of the door.

"Quick." Hoseok breathed, opening the door of the van while beckoning us to get in. "We don't have much time before my mother will ring alarm."

We quickly did as he said, jumping into the back of the van while Hoseok jumped in the front seat to start the vehicle. I held my breath until the car pulled up, and started driving out of the driveway of the huge mansion we had just left.

After a brief moment of silence, Jungkook decided to speak up. "What the fuck is going on?"

Unsure who he was addressing, Hoseok was the first to speak up.

"I wish I fucking knew." Hoseok hissed through his teeth, a hint of frustration and hurt in his voice. "First thing I know is I'm boarding a plain for this air-bending camp, next thing I'm waking up in a dark room." He huffed. "They kept me there for two days without having a clue what was going on, before my mom decided to make an appearance. To say I was confused would be an understatement." He paused again to swallow harshly. "She explained how she was working with the Libertas to take over the government and make all bender lose powers? We'd be the only family to be able to bend, making us superior."
