"Just as flowers don't get to choose where they bloom, children don't get to chose were there
born!"

.......

....

..

.

The young girl sat on the worn couch, reading a book, as light shown through the curtain,
glimmering onto the clean carpeted floor.

There was a soft knock on the front door, it swung
Open, signaling someone had let there self into the family household, the girls head darted toward the door. Her father standing in the way, closing the door behind him with a peaceful smile on his face. His uniquely beautiful (e/c) eyes shined, the girl had the blessing of sharing the hue with him.

As the thud of the closing door echoed through the house, a head of (h/c) poked out from
behind the kitchen wall, smiling, the mother was making dinner and came to greet her husband
home.

"how did work go, honey" the mother asked cheerfully with a cheery grin painted on her face.

"it went great, i got my paycheck today! oh, and i picked up a little something from the store for
the little one~" the father obviously said loud enough for the little girl in the living room to hear.

he stood next to the mother in the kitchen. Holding up high, a card-like piece of paper inside a
envelope between his fingers. while also lowly holding a brown paper bag beside his
hip.

As if on cue the small bouncing head of (h/c) hair, similar of to the mother, came skipping into the kitchen, a book in her hand. the girl wrapped her hands around the brown paper bag, looking up to her father for approval to take it. she giggled. the father let go of his hardy grasp on the bag, giving it to the young one.

"thank you daddy!" she squealed, running into the living room as the mother chuckled with the
father. admiring their child's enthusiastic attitude.

"no problem sweetie, oh and remember! after you open it bring it here to your mother so she can see it to"

The father called out to her and the girl mentally nodded.

she plopped her self onto the window sill beside the couch. Her body blocking off the gazing light
that once shined into the small room. she ripped open the paper bag, pulling out a black velvet
Box.

she immediately knew exactly what it was as a small blush appeared under her eyes on
her cheeks.

She opened the box, pulling out a gold chain with a gold  triangle outlined charm
attached to it. her eyes glimmered , she had saw the necklace at the apparel shop the other day
while she was in town with her father.

back then, her father had caught her staring at it and chuckled, telling
her to hurry up because mom was making dinner at home and they need to be there soon.

"mommy, mommy, Look!" the little girl screamed running to the kitchen with necklace in her
Hand.

the mother bent down to her daughter's level, cupping the golden necklace into her hands.

"wow, its very beautiful, here, turn around and let me put it on you. So daddy got you this, huh?"

the mother asked kindly.

"mm,hmm!" the child hummed her answer as she turned around for her mother.

the mom pulled back some of her hair, clearing her neck and wrapping the chain around it. when she finally clipped the end she dropped the necklace, it hung loosely around the beautiful little girls neck.
