The City Below and The Life Above

Chapter 1:The "normal" life

The first scene starts in a room with a large fish tank sitting in the middle of the room,where a large fish-like being sits still within it while above it the dim lights of the tank barely illuminate the creature.
As the creature is asleep,a piece of the wall slides up in the darkness only to them flash on lights that startle the sleeping creature awake.
"What the-?!" It yelled before unintentionally smacking into the glass of the tank, which then shortly after mutters a simple "ow..."
The lights then dim down to normal lighting,showing the room being decorated with many pictures and other things like aged newspaper comics.
"ugh..." The creature muttered "man that hurt to see.....Wait a minute..." It asked and turned to see a clock reading 7:35 AM.
"oh,I'm late for my first day at work..." it says in a tired voice which then seems to shrug and doze off for a bit,only for it to run out of it's room shortly after.
"I'M LATE FOR MY FIRST DAY AT WORK!!!" It yelled as It stumbles before the creature runs down some stairs and goes to an aged sink with an old mirror,which then proceeds to douse water on itself before taking a metal can and then the creature hurries over to the fridge and pull out a small pack of fish and putting it in a leathery lunch bag.
it then heads to the door while placing an orange work strap on it's shoulder and then running out and locking the door with some keys that were on a rusty book on the wall.
The creature proceeds to run down an aged,metallic road passing by some worn out buildings which all looked similar besides it's appearance of age from rusting.
the creature accidentally runs into a bird creature at a food stand,causing the bird creature to drop it's food of bread sticks and some corn.
"I'mverysorry!" It quickly exclaims as the creature runs as the other creature yells at it and picking up the food.
The creature then finally reaches a small tube transport similar to a subway and enters as it shuts the door and begins to depart.
"phew..." The creature sighs and sits next to a rock being as he drinks from the can,which contained pure water.
"first day?" The rock being asked in a bored tone.
"yea..." The creature replies before looking at the rock being. "how do you know...?"
"my first day too" The rock being tells the creature before looking at it "...though we're going to be late because we had to wait."
"oh...sorry..." the creature replies feeling down before the rock being pats it's scaly back
"don't worry about it." The rock being tells him and holds out it's rocky hand "...name's Johnson,but you can call me John."
"ok John." the creature shakes John's hand. "my name's-"A speaker activates,interrupting the creature from his sentence and an automated voice speaks through it.
"next stop:checker team zone." It announces before shutting off"

The creature then asks as it goes through a dark tunnel "...Checker team?"
