They started to hunt her when she turned sixteen.

She remembered how she felt something wrong and different in her body. Her eyesight became sharper, her hearing clearer. Her body became even more sensitive. Minor parts of her body changed slowly. Worse, there were shadows hunting her every day in her dreams. She tried to tell her parents, but they were more terrified than she was. If only she had listened to him...But no. He was already gone. He warned her, but she wouldn't listen. She refused to just believe in his absurdity. She is not that different. She's just a normal girl. She didn't think that all of what he'd said will come true...

Now she needs to find him – before the shadows can get to her. She needs him to stop her nightmares and to help her with whatever is happening to her. She is getting anxious and only he can answer all her questions. She needs him and he needs her, too.

Victoria

"Victoria! You'll be late in your college interview!"

I woke up shaking the feeling that I was being watched.

"Yes, Mom! I'll be downstairs! Just give me fifteen minutes to prepare!"

Ugh. Another nightmare.

'Why does it feel that even waking up every morning is such a chore?' I've thought as I clumsily get out of bed. While I'm brushing my teeth, I'm pretty sure I saw something passed my bathroom door. Whatever. Oh boy, I better make this fast before my mom kills me. This is a prestigious school, after all.

Well, let me tell you a brief description about me. I am just a normal teenager with a totally average and mediocre aura. I have gray eyes and long wavy black hair that I kind of like. I got my gray eyes from my father and my black hair from my mom. And sad to say, I don't have any curves in my body to brag. Yeah. I'm not your typical hot bombshell perfect girl. Maybe that's just fine.

We live in a simple two-story house. My parents bought it when we moved here in Switzerland from Denmark. It is vintage-styled with a garden at the back. The interiors is painted white, and the furniture are old but stylish. From the house, I can see the forest not far from our small town. I've heard rumors about the mysterious sounds and disappearances in there. Don't get me wrong I'm not into mysteries but that particular forest seems to pull me.

Coming back to my senses, I make my way downstairs to eat my breakfast.

"Are you still having those nightmares?" my mother asked worriedly. I can't tell her that I still am fearing that she might send me again to a psychiatrist.

"Nope. I had a comfortable sleep," I lied, while grinning at her. I know that I can't go on like this. I check my watch and...

Damn. I'm really going to be late! Fantastic.

"Oh, shit. I've got to go! See you later, Mom!" I stand up and kissed my mom on her cheek. She looks like she wanted to say something but decided against it.
