(While I was thinking about this speech I decided I should actually write it down, that was when I realized I had so much to say about this person I'm giving the speech about, half of it wasn't even about insperation, it went on to our similarities and how close we are, and I just wanted to thank you from being such a great friend.)
This time when I thought about giving a speech I thought about going the Gwen way, so I looked up the word for insperation. Of course I don't remember the definition but I do remember mostly what I thought when I read it. I believe it said something along the lines of to be mentally stimulated mostly creatively and in that I thought of my friend Nicky. The friend that I brought in.
When I have insperation there is usually a person lying behind it, I rarely get insperation from something like a pencil. Anytime I'm stuck in something I like, usually a drawing or some writting , not school, I ask someone close to me. I usually ask someone from my family or friends and Nicky is essentially first on the friend list. Nicky is one of the closest people to me in my life that isn't related to me.
Continuing on the topic of insperation half the time I talk to Nicky I'm asking her a question on something that I'm stuck on. Usually writting related, we seem to pick eachother up on where the other gets stuck. If one of us makes a dead end in a story, usually me, the other is really good at knowing the direction the other wants to go. I can't even count how many times Nicky has made stories I write so much better because of one joke, or a movement in another direction.
Nicky is just a very big insperation in my life. She has given me ideas and pointers on drawings, she draws comics, which by the way I've always wanted to do. Still I had drawn very few comics. When i had made a friend that drew really funny comics I wanted to do comics even more. Before last year i had probably drawn thirty comics in my life, now i know for sure i have a few hundred. even if those comics I've drawn are rediculous, confusing, and lack any sort of detail, I am getting experience out of it, not only that but I am making myself laugh. I am making up characters for stories that I will write in the future and it is all because of Nicky. It is not only because of the help but because of the push I needed in that direction.
I find the influence of Nicky in my life completely positive. It is always nice to see and talk to Nicky, the way she supports and critiques that things I do inspire me.
Nicky is a big part of my little life and I am indeed lucky for that.
And I am very greatful.
