Chapter One: Sold To Who?

Nikayla's POV:
My life it's not perfect, my name is Nikayla Cullen, I live with my big brother Damon and my father Alaric.

"Nikayla!"

Here he goes again screaming my name at the top of his lungs, I thought. I was in the middle of reading Romeo and Juliet when the yell of my name echoed through the library.

I quickly changed in the library so I could get to my father's study without him calling my name again.

Note I have clothes in the library because I sometimes fall asleep in here and Damon made a secret wardrobe so I don't get in trouble.

Anyway back to the story, I then raced to my father office.

"I'm here."

Father didn't usually invite me to his office not even for a family meeting. Damon must have thought the same thing.

"So what going on."

He began to fake crying saying.

"I had...I... I'm so sorry."

I was frightened what had he done now. Damon asked.

"What have you done you can tell us!"

He then burst into tears, Damon put his hand on his shoulder, then he finally said among his sobs.

"I had to he said he'll kill you both."

In other words I had to because they would kill Damon, I thought.

Damon's POV:
"Who dad, what have you done?"

I asked I needed to know what he had done so I could protect Nikayla.

"I...s...sold you Nikayla. I sold my baby girl to a monster."

Nikayla's POV
No I thought as I sobbed he is the monster.

Narrator:
On the other side of the city lived our rival gang the Hales. Axton Hale the heir to the Hale gang throne was in his office with, his little brother Scott and his right hand man Stefan. In the rest of the family we have Jax's mother Talia, his uncle Peter, Jax's big brother Derek, big sister Laura, twin sister Astrid, little sister Cora and his cousin Malia.

Axe's POV:
I was reading some of the business charts and records when Scott came running in with Stefan following swiftly behind him.

"What can I do for you?"

I knew Scott wanted something but I didn't have time for him to do a big speech.

"So is it true?"

Does he think I can read his mind 'it is true' that could be anything.

"Is what true!"

Scott's POV:
Is what true really Axton I thought; is that the best he could come up with, Stefan was standing there looking like a fool next to me and Jax, well he looked annoyed.

"You made a deal with the Cullen's."

Axe's POV:
I turned to look at Stefan who was still standing next to Scott and he looked back at me, then I looked back up at Scott with a hard stare.

"Yes it's true what's it to you."

He scolded it was quite funny to see although he had still annoyed me, I didn't want to laugh otherwise he would begin to get all jokee and annoying again.
