Chapter 1

"Goodbye, Mike..."
That was the last thing El said to me. After that monster pulled her in, I couldn't stop thinking about her. Calling her. Missing her. Loving her.. I wanted this dreadful nightmare of fucking hell to be over. But no, it's real. Me and the guys were playing Dungeons and Dragons, while Lucas was stalking Mad Max. "So, still thinking about Elev--"
"DON'T EVEN MENTION HER NAME, DUSTIN!"
"Damn, Mike. A little over board? No need to act like a bitch."
"Will?! Seriously?!! She saved OUR lives! You can't just speak like that! Not after what she did for us!"
The guys cracked up like no tomorrow. "You shitheads! Get your mind together! You can't respect a GIRL who saved us?!" It went silent after I snapped. Dustin hid his eyes with his dirty cap, and Will slunk down in the chair to hide like a crybaby. "Fuck this. I'm going home.." I walked up and right by Will's mom. Since my parents were on a date, I couldn't be alone. Already be as pissed as I could be, I didn't care much. The only thing (hehe "thing" Stranger Things 'im sorry not') I really cared about was El, and only El. At least, right now. I just can't believe how idiotiotic they acted. "MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!" A female screamed. I looked behind, and a girl was running my way, running from what seemed to be a monster. She ran into me, and I caught her. When I opened my eyes, expecting someone random, and I was correct. Damn it! When will El ever be in my arms?! I basically shoved her off of me. She glared at me, but I continued walking anyways. I'm not in the mood for helping. When I arrived home, Mother called me to the kitchen. She started to yell at me more for having so many Eggos in the fridge. NOW I'm pissed! I was about to slap right then and there like no fucking tomorrow! "Asshole! You never pay attention!!!" I snapped. She stared at me like I was an insane son of a bitch.
