Oneshot

She panted as she ran across the street. The small snow particles gently landed on her face as she ran. Her deep, heavy breaths were visible in the frigid air.
Her long, unkempt scarf, dangled off her neck.
"Juvia must hurry! Juvia can't be late!" Juvia repeated to herself.
Suddenly her scarf got tangled up on someone's bag making her stop.
She turned around to see an unhappy young man with black hair look at her with dissatisfaction. That's when she noticed the spilled coffee on his coat, staining the snow to be a brown color.
"Oh Juvia is so sorry!" She said apologizing to the young man.
"So annoying" He said rolling his eyes. "I hate absent-minded people like you." He said.
Juvia scoffed and untangled the scarf from the stranger's bag.
"I already said Juvia is sorry. Juvia really is but Juvia needs to go before Juvia gets late." She said running away. She was in too much of a hurry to realize who it was.
The young man with black hair looked at her with disgust and picked up the cup of spilled coffee.
"Juvia?" He said to himself as he walked away.

Juvia hurriedly ran to the door and pushed the doorbell.
"Oh Juvia you finally made it!" Lucy said embracing Juvia in a hug.
"We almost became doubtful that you were coming."Natsu added as he took the side of his girlfriend.
"Thank you Natsu-San, Lucy-San, for inviting Juvia to your party." She said
"No problem! Go in the kitchen everyone is waiting for you." Lucy said directing Juvia into the Kitchen.
"Hello Erza-San, Jellal-san, Gageel-kun, and Levy-San." Juvia said
"Hello" They all greeted her.
"Sit down Juvia, have some wine with us." Erza said
"No thank you Erza-san. I don't want it to turn out like last time."
"Suit yourself." Erza said pouring herself a cup.
"Dear, you should refrain from drinking so much." Jellal said to his girlfriend.
"I don't care. You're the one who has to carry me home." Erza said gulping down the alcoholic drink.
"That's exactly why I don't want you to drink." Jellal sighed
"Why do you turn into Cana at random times?" Levy asked Erza.
"What do you mean?" Erza asked
"You choose the most random times to drink extensively." Gageel added "remember last time?"
Those words sent shivers down Juvia's spine. Last time Erza got so drunk....... it was hell.
"That doesn't matter! Today is Christmas Eve so we should celebrate!" Erza said throwing up her hands.
"That's what you said last year." Natsu said.
DING DONG. The ring of the doorbell echoed through the home.
"I'll get it" Natsu said walking away to get the door.
Juvia was talking Erza as she overheard a conversation.
"Hey! It's great to see you after so long!" Natsu said in a loud voice to the guest.
"If I didn't come you would annoy me to death." A second familiar voice said.
Both Natsu and the mysterious guest walk into the room.
"Hey guys." The guest greeted the others.
"Juvia you remember Gray don't you?" Natsu asks her.
Juvia turns around to see the same annoyed young man with black hair staring at her blankly.
Wait. Gray?! She thinks.
That's when she realized who she spilled the coffee on.
Gray Fullbuster.
Juvia has had a crush on him ever since they met through Natsu and Lucy years ago. Everyone knows about it because Juvia isn't exactly the best at hiding her feelings.
"What took you so long?" Lucy asked the arriving guest.
"Some idiot on the street spilled coffee on me so I had to go home and change." Gray said as his eyes went straight to Juvia.
"Nice to see you Juvia." He smirked "You know, after a long time."
"I will go get the snacks." Lucy said getting up "Juvia, Erza, and Levy come with me."
All the girls left the room and went to the kitchen leaving the men behind.
"Will Wendy be coming?" Juvia asked
"No, she is studying for college." Levy answered
"Life must be hard for a college freshman like her." Erza commented.
"At least we know she is working very hard."Lucy added.
"Anyways, Juvia how do you feel about Gray?" Erza asked gulping down another bottle of whiskey.
"Juvia's feelings are the same as the day he left for that over seas project." Juvia replied.
"I see." Erza sighed
"Maybe we can hook you two up?" Lucy suggested "after all that worked very well with Jellal and Erza."
"No Lucy-san I don't want to trouble you."
"There must be something we can do though." Levy said
"The best thing you can do is help Juvia give him a good impression of Juvia." Juvia said  "it's been a long time and Juvia has already ruined Juvia's image to Gray-sama"
"It's ok Juvia! We will play as wing women!" Lucy smiled.

The four girls came back into the room with food in their arms.
"Food!" Natsu said diving in to chow down.
"These are snacks, Natsu. We ordered pizza so control yourself." Lucy scolded Natsu
Erza had a devilish look on her face.
She probably got too drunk again.
"Let's play a game!" She suggested excitedly
Everyone screamed in protest.
"We are NOT doing this again ok" Gray said taking a big sip of whiskey.
"Oh come one guys it will be fun." Erza winked
"Last time was hell...........but we can at least play along today. I don't think we have anything better to do." Levy commented
"Fine we'll play." They all joined in
"First of all everyone get into a circle."
Everyone rushed into a circle, the order was Lucy, Natsu, Levy, Gageel, Erza, Jellal, Juvia, and then Gray.
"This is how the game works, I'm gonna walk around with this mistletoe blindfolded in a circle. Whoever I land on has to kiss me. After that the mistletoe will be passed to someone random. Understood?" Erza explained
"NO!" Everyone screamed
"What did you say?" Erza asked in a dark and strict tone.
"Ok we will play." Everyone gulped
"Good" Erza said putting on her blindfold.
Erza went to the middle of the circle and started wobbling around. She ended up falling on top of Jellal.
"Oohhh who did I land on!" She said eagerly taking off her blindfold.
As she removed it, her eyes landed on her own boyfriend.
She shrugged her shoulder as she leaned into Jellal and quickly pecked his lips.
All the adults looked at her unsatisfied.
"That's a peck not a kiss." Lucy mumbled under her breath
"Whatever. Next person!" Erza got up and started circling around group.
"Gray you're next." Erza handed Gray the blindfold
"No way! I'm not playing this game!" He said
"Gray you're next and you can't say anything about it."
"Fine" he grabbed the blindfold and put it on.
Gray then slowly walked around the circle. He patted each head as if he were picking who the next goose would be in an unfair game of duck duck goose.
He encircled the group once.
"Ok, I choose you." He said taking his blindfold off revealing the shocked blue haired girl and an even more shocked group of adults gawking at him.
"Juvia huh?" He smirked
"G-gray-sama" Juvia said quietly.
"Ok let's get this over with." He placed his hand behind her neck and started to pull her in as Juvia stared at him wide eyed.
The group watched attentively. Their hearts all on edge.
DING DONG. The stupid bell rand ruining the kiss to be had between Gray and Juvia.
"Pizzas here!" Natsu yelled get up
Gray got annoyed, almost disappointed and he walked away to get pizza. However, Juvia stayed frozen in her spot. She tried very hard to calm down her racing but it wouldn't stop.
"Juvia here have some pizza" Lucy said passing Juvia a plate.
Juvia silently nodded and took tiny bites out the pizza. She doesn't know how to react to any of this.

One by one they stuffed themselves with the pizza, the breadsticks, and chugging down the bottles of alcohol. Soon enough they all passed out in each other's arms in food comas and for some, intoxicated.
Only two remained awake.  Juvia, who had refrained from drinking (or eating as a matter of fact), collected all the used plates and went to the kitchen. She slowly lugged herself to the kitchen unaware of the other awake adult.
She carefully placed the glass plate in the sink and turned on the tap.
"Juvia" Gray entered the room resting against the counter next to Juvia.
"Gray-sama, Juvia didn't realize you were awake" Juvia said
The sound of the water filled in their silence.
"Gray-sama I am very sorry for spilling coffee on you earlier." Juvia apologized
"Whatever it doesn't matter." He says "plus I have something else in my mind"
"I'm serious I'm really sorry." Juvia kept going
"So annoying." Gray rolled his eyes
"I was in a hurry and I should have been more careful." Juvia turned to him seeing how close he was the entire time. The next loop of events started with Grays fingers tracing her spine as he pulled her in and planted a tender kiss on her lips. Juvia's eyes were wide open as they were shocked by Gray's action. For the first time in the night she felt like she had been drinking. Drunk to the taste of Gray's cold lips as they both shared that moment.
They parted away.
"That shut you up real quick didn't it?" Gray asked amused.
Juvia stood there dumbfounded.
Gray; the person she spilled her coffee on on her way to Lucy's Christmas party. The same person she has had a crush on for a long time. The person who kissed her?
"We never finished the kiss we started before." He said to Juvia
"Juvia is at a loss of words." She states the obvious.
"Juvia, you should be more careful." Gray's hand finds it's way to Juvia's fingers.
"Or else you make people like me fall in love."
