| Tsukishima's POV |
She leans in and I jerk back "What are you doing?" I ask, feeling the heat come to my cheeks. Her face turns red and she sits back "Noth... Nothing" She replies, clearing her throat.
I chew on my lip. Why was I so nervous about her getting that close? I can't possibly like that little baby.
I coughed and stood up, offering her my hand. "Let's go, we need to get you to a doctor" I sighed as I spoke, she looked at my hand, her body still shaking gently. I shook my head and rolled my eyes, grabbing her arm as I pulled her up, wrapping my arm around her waist to help her walk.
"I don't.. I don't need help. Just, just go home." She spoke, limping as I lead her up to the top of the bridge. I rolled my eyes they almost rolled out of my head; "Just accept this kindness. How often am I nice to people?"
She kept silent as we made our way to the hospital.
| Y/N's POV |
Tsukishima helped me walk to the hospital, he was actually being nice to me? He's always seemed like a jerk, but I seem to... Like him. Which is weird, because I can't get close to anyone, even my own parents..
I groaned in pain as I limped my way down the road, with Tsukishima helping me walk to my side. My side stung where Tsukishima's arm made contact with the fabric that was pressed against my skin.
Only a few minutes later, we made our way to the hospital and he brought me inside. He walked me to some chairs, sitting me down softer as he walked to the front desk. "Hey, this girl here was stupid and she might have broken her ankle, could someone just at least check her out?" He asked and the lady nodded, "What's her name, and what's your name, sir?" She asked, typing something out on the computer in front of herself. "Uh, I'm Kei Tsukishima, and her name is Y/F/N Y/L/N." He said as he rested his hands on the desk.
"Ooookay" She spoke slowly as she typed the info into the computer. "Okay, Y/N has already been registered into the system for her therapy, so we have everything we'll need on her. If you walk down that first hall to your left and go to room 401, Dr. Rosteen will be there to check her out."
Tsukishima looked confused, but nodded "Okay, great" He replied as he walked back over to me, pulling me up and bringing me down the hall again.
We were silent as we walked down the hall until Tsukishima broke the silence.
"Therapy, huh?" He asked, never looking down at me.
"Mhm" I nodded as I let a small noise out. He had switched sides of where he had his arm around, so both sides were numb now and it was making it hard to breathe, so it took a lot out of me to be able to focus on my breathing, and my walking.
I was relieved when we reached the room 401, where we knocked on the door "Come in" a small voice answered from inside, and we entered to see a man sitting on a chair looking through a folder "Miss Y/L/N, correct?" He asked me, "Yeah.. Yeah" I answered, clearing my throat a couple times. He nodded and gave me a smile as he moved his head to show Tsukishima where to have me sit. I sat on a table breathing roughly. "Are you having troubles breathing?" He asked, noticing how pale I looked "No.. I just.. No, Just the walk.." I said, fidgeting with my fingers.
The doctor nodded. coming over to me moving his hands slowly towards my leg, as I bit my lip and held my breath. He looked over at me "I read your file. Are you comfortable with me touching your leg?" He asked "I need to feel it to see if it's broken"
I nodded and looked away from the doctor, trying to imagine that nothing was touching me. He felt my leg and it started to burn, then go numb "Do you feel that?" He asked and I nodded, but the feeling started to fade away as my leg went numb. "That?" He asked and I shook my head "My leg, it's numb" I spoke. My throat was dry and I swallowed a few times, trying not to sound like a frog. The doctor looked worried then he thought for a second, then let out a relieved sigh.
"From me touching it, right?" He asked, and I nodded "Yes.. Yes, it's from you touching it" I said, sighing. Tsukishima looked confused from across the room, so I avoided eye contact to avoid questions.
"Okay well, from what I can feel, it's just sprained. A nurse will come in, in a moment to put a splint on, then you will be free to go." He spoke as he smiled at me. "Also, you appear to be doing better, since you let this fine gentleman walk you into here." He said, glancing over at Tsukishima and back over at me. "I, I guess" I spoke, my hands fiddling with the hem of my shirt.
The doctor exited the room and the room was silent and I laid back on the bed, pulling out my phone to look at it, still startled from the cracked screen. I had texts from my mom "where are you? School ended a while ago" "where are you??? text me!!!"
and I sighed, reading them. "I'm hanging out with Tsukishima" I replied, trying to make my Mom believe it, and quit being stupid.
I doubted she would believe it, but it's worth a try.
"What does he mean getting better?" Tsukishima asked, breaking the silence, which made me jump slightly. I chewed on my lip. "You know. getting, uh. Getting better" I responded, tightening my grip on the table. "I know that" He sighed. "But getting better at what?"
