~Kageyama's POV~
"Come on Kageyama! Toss it to me!" whined a high pitched voice, causing Kageyama to wince and glare in the orange-haired boys direction.
"I'll set it to you when I want to toss it to you, dumbass!" screamed an irritated Kageyama back to the whiny Hinata.
Hinata pouted and crossed his arms, turning back to face the net and their rival, Aoba Johsai. The other team wore proud smirks as the score read Karasuno: 20, Seijoh: 23 Match: 2. Kageyama scowled at the scoreboard and focused back on making this serve one of the best.
He threw the ball up high watching for a second as it arched forward and Kageyama took a running start towards it. As the ball fell he jumped smacking the ball straight over the net with lightning speed, watching as it fell just next to the libero who had dove to receive it.
"ALL RIGHT!" screamed the Karasuno team, everyone doing their own special pose of the minor victory. Kageyama watched with satisfaction as the score changed to 21-23 and smirked at the scowling Oikawa on the other side of the net.
Hinata ran over and jumped up against Kageyama excitedly, as he shouted in joy. Kageyama brushed him off and went back to serve again. 'If we lose this match it'll be over,' he thought to himself, with a determined face. He served again, doing his signature jump serve, but this time, instead of going near the libero it went straight to him and he received it flawlessly.
Kageyama watched as the ball was spiked over the net and back onto their side. He could only watch at his position at the center of the front of the court as Nishinoya dove to receive the ball and just barely missed. The telltale sign of the ball smacking against the gym floor was all that was heard to Kageyama's ears even as the other team celebrated their point.
21-24
Oikawa was serving next, making everyone on Karasuno tense up in preparation for the oncoming service ace that was bound to happen. When Kageyama glanced back to check who would be the ones receiving he frowned, seeing his orange-haired partner standing there looking nervous.
'Well, shit.' Kageyama thought, looking back as he prepared for the serve.
Karasuno lost, 21-25 thanks to Hinata as he completely panicked and missed the serve, calling out as he it hit inside the line with room to spare. Kageyama strolled up to the boy who quivered in fear.
Just before Kageyama reached out to grab the boy by the head, they heard a scream and turned to see the source of it in the crowd.
"Probably just one of Oikawa's stupid fangirls," Kageyama scoffed in disgust, turning his focus back on Hinata. Except when he turned back around, Hinata was gone, making Kageyama glare at the spot he had just been. Kageyama heard more commotion than usual and turned to look at the scene behind him.
Oikawa was running, being chased by several girls, making the raven-haired boy roll his eyes in disgust and annoyance.
"Iwa-chan! Help me! Oh my god I'm gonna die! They're gonna eat me!" screamed a frightened Oikawa, his arms raised high in the air as he ran around the court. Kageyama could see Iwaizumi glaring at the brown haired male and then turned away, ignoring the man's pleas for help.
Kageyama smirked, pleased with the reaction given to his former senpai. It wasn't till then that he heard another, more familiar cry of help. Tanaka and Nishinoya stood back to back, holding bench legs that they had somehow broken off, surrounded by, 'fangirls?' Kageyama thought in confusion.
'What the hell? Those two morons don't have fangirls?' He looked closer, and that was when he noticed the blood dripping from their mouths, their skin a ghostly pale color, even paler than Hinata's, and their arms extended as far out as possible to reach their targets.
