There was a strange thing about the room that was in front of her eyes. She never knew she would be here, but had to, because of some untold and perturbed storms going on in her head. She knew it was his house. And being here in the US, she's known him for a long while now, but never did she see the aura of this room getting wrapped in unbelievable silence and awkwardness. This very room, was never silent, it either echoed of some Beatles, Pink Floyd, Linkin Park numbers, or was particularly flooded with Kishore and Rafi melodies. This man was sure of a music lover, she thought. Then what was the reason for this ominous silence? She barely knew what the man was going through.

As she entered the deserted room, she saw him lying on the floor, his eyes giving out all the pain and his face fully wet with tears, lying and crying, the handsomeness was endangered thoroughly. Her silk like hair flowing in response to quick action, she ran to him and grabbed him in her arms. Her soft palm wiping away the pain along with those tears, she was wretched to find this man in his worst self, looking at her pitifully his features marred badly by the pain in his heart.

He held her as tightly as possible, giving away all that he held in. Silent tears fell from his jet black eyes, the bestest part of his seemingly beautifully carved face. Those eyes could simply drive one crazy, just like it did her, who was holding him in her loving embrace.
"Om, what is it?" the immensely strong self was now trembling, Gauri couldn't hold on to her strength anymore.
Melting in the soothing voice, Omkara gave on, "What is just left for me now? What else, Gauri?".
"Shivaay, isn't it?" Gauri retorted back, Omkara could feel the red hot anger burning in her.
"My life, it is, Shivaay is my life, so are you."
"Then why are you ruining the things Om? Why are you ruining me? Am I not important? What am I then?"
"I just called you my life, you certainly know what it means?"
"So is Shivaay, your so called bloody life, that brother of yours, who's killing you every day."
"No, it isn't him, it's me who is killing myself. I know I have lost him, if I could just accept it, I would have.... "
" You would have lived a Life, Omkara. A life, is what you have lost, in pursuit of getting back your brother."

Holding his shoulders, she seemed to lend her inner strength to him, and that uplifted his stature. Omkara now looked straight into those beautiful eyes, knowing he had his whole world in them.
He gave in an indulging smile and accepted her advice and her anger for Shivaay. He knew it was badly unfounded, if only she knew how much Shivaay loved him, she wouldn't have cursed him all this while. He knew she hated Shivaay , just because of the troubled equation between the two brothers. Nevertheless, he was ever hopeful that one day would come, when she would know the real Shivaay, and he would have his brother back.

He resumed the full embrace, holding on his heart closer to hers. This was the only thing that could comfort him from all the troubles and tribulations. Holding on to her, he ran his hands down her thick silky mane, and perched into her, closer.
Gauri, his angel, had just come into his life. He was doing his medical degrees, and had befriended this MIT student. She was an orphan too, raised by an American family, lovingly integrated into her foster home. They took her to be their everything, her foster parents had loved her more than her real parents would ever have. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a loving life, Om realised this everytime he met this immensely strong woman.

He often asked her, even when she was raised by an American couple, why did they name her Gauri? She used to give a dry laugh, and gave a stupid reasoning, that seemed stupid to her as well, they had dreamt her and in their dream, they saw they would get a baby, whose name was to be Gauri. So they stupidly named her Gauri, though her dad called her Julia, evidently because he was a die hard fan of Julia Roberts. They had a good laugh every time they discussed this, and Om could never get enough of this funny reasoning and kept on asking this, just to repeat the fun.
There was something so besotting about this innate strength of Gauri, which he found to be her charm factor. She had first attracted his attention, when she had strongly given back a curt reply to a man who was trying to get into a fight with her pals. Rare though, she had even given him some punches back, his face brutally bantered with her angry hits. He had gotten to know of her more, when he talked to one of her friends one fine day.

All his thoughts came back to the pleasant present, when she ran her hand over his hair. It was soothing and her presence was equal to ambrose to him, resurrecting him from all the painful events. He looked into her eyes, the fire in them gave him warmth and strength. He knew, this fire within her could save as well as burn to blisters.
He held her and got up, she made him sit on his peach couch. He held her hand and made her sit. They kept silent for a while. Omkara broke the silence, with his remarkably stupid question.
"How come you know this is my home?" bad question though. She knew everything about him, all his whereabouts.
She gave a disgusted look, she knew this man could be too bad at conversations sometimes, but she certainly knew she could do away with it, just to be with him.

"I think you're too interested in me than required Gauri, I'm glad that you are here, but you shouldn't bother yourself too much with these nonsensical tantrums of mine." He got up, walking in a tired facet, poured some water for her.

Handing her the glass, he saw into those magical eyes, beautiful as they were, he could see the pain he inflicted on her. Definitely it had hit her hard, it was heartless of him to spur her concerns so brutally. He knew, he was spurring love despite of his completely love-less life, silently complying to his inner dilemma.
She gulped in the water, icy cold and the air grew thick. She was wanting to terminate this conversation all at once, but she knew it was easy to leave someone midway, the harder thing was to stay even when they don't want you to, but need you essentially. And she was a woman who would happily choose to perish in love, the harder way, than so called 'living' her life as it is and getting scared off.

She had the stern line on her lips, her eyes full with inner fire, which were characteristic when she was fighting her inner self. Omkara looked at the expression and didn't feel his face melting into a fond and indulgent smile. He knew he was doing wrong, particularly when he was the first to start the story, but he was doing this all to stop her from entering the hellfire of his life. He wanted his only love to be away from his life, which he was careless enough to notice, that she already was his 'life' and the impossibility of living without her, struck him immediately.
He reminisced, but he was to save her anyway.

Gauri looked at him, without any word, she turned her eyes away from him. Only she knew what was going on in her mind, though there were chances that Omkara knew her will too.
