After we ate, we walked down the sidewalk, holding hands, looking in store windows and laughing at all the funny things we saw.

We got to the beach and stood there, Devan with his arms around me and his face buried in my hair.

We stood like that for a while, watching the sun set.

After that we walked back to the house.

We weren't tired so we decided we would turn on a movie.

We were trying to decide on a movie and Devan said, "hang on. I need to go get something."

He left and came back a few minutes later with his hands full of Disney movies.

"How did you know that I love Disney movies? Oh my gosh! This is going to be so much fun!"

We got blankets and pillows together so the couch was super cozy.

Before we started watching them, we gathered a huge supply of snacks to last us through the movies.

I nodded off partway through Beauty and the Beast.

*Devans pov*

Y/n fell asleep halfway through the movie and when I looked over at her, she had gentle peaceful look on her face.

I smiled and stroked her hair as the soft romantic music from the movie played on.

...The next morning...

I woke up a little confused as to where I was.

But I remembered that sometime during the movie I fell asleep next to y/n.

I looked down and she was still curled up next to me with her head on my chest.

I slowly got of the couch to make sure I didn't wake her up.

When I went to the kitchen to get something to eat, I saw Collins digging around in the pantry trying to find some food.

"Hey bro." I said.

He looked up "Oh man, you scared me. Don't sneak up me like that!"

"Sorry about that. Try to be quiet because y/n is sleeping."

"Ok you know how hard this will be for me."

I smiled. "I know. Just try your hardest. Anyway, I need to talk to you about something."

At this, Collins stopped looking for food and turned around to see if I was being serious.

He noticed that I was so he came over and sat in the chair next to me.

"So, I've been thinking." I started. "Do you remember what I told you a few years ago about how when either of us found the right girl, we owed the other 10 dollars?"

Collins looked at me witha mixture of slight confusion and curiosity.

"Ya I do remember that. Why d- OH WAIT! DOES HIS MEAN THA-"

"Collins shut up! You're going to wake up y/n! But yes this does mean I'm going to need that money. And I'm going to propose to her. I just need your help today picking out a ring."

Collins, eyes wide with excitement, nodded vigorously.

I heard y/n get up so I quickly changed the subject so she wouldn't suspect anything.

All through breakfast, Collins kept trying to catch my eyes and see my facial expression.

I looked at him and said, "Hey Collins want to go to the mall with me later? I just need to get a few things."

He nodded and said, "Sure let me go get ready and I'll be down in a few minutes."

He ran upstairs and y/n looked at me and said,"Can I come with you guys?"

I looked at her and said, "well,  I don't want to be rude but it would be better if you didn't come with us this time. The three of us can go shopping another day soon if you want."

"No it's totally fine. I've been wanting to go down to the beach and draw anyways. Now is the perfect time."

I smiled at her. Then Collins ran down. "Alright bro, lets go. Hey that rhymes. Well I'm a poet and I didn't even know it!"

I just looked and him with my eyebrows raised, trying to fight a smile while y/n was laughing really hard next to me.

We went out to the car and left to go get a ring.
