Chapter 3 - Awkward Car Journey

Niall's POV:

I felt kinda bad, but I love Sky so much that I would just do anything to keep her safe. She texted me earlier:

Did you know about this Niall? I miss you and all but it's NOT FAIR that I get babied and left out just cos of the stupid fucking band. It's great and I know that it's your dream but UGHHHH it's mofoingly annoying. If you even TRY to lecture me on swearing I will slap your nose right off your face.

Yeah, she was mad. Sometimes I got annoyed by the band too to be honest, because I miss my NORMAL life and not getting stopped by fans every 5 minutes. It was way too much when they broke into my brothers fucking wedding for God's sakes, I just completely broke down in tears because I felt as if I'd ruined everything for them. Oh, and don't even get me started on management...

Anyway, I felt kinda down after that text, so I basically just stared glumly out of the window for the rest of the journey. I played about 2 minutes of Mega Jump but couldn't concentrate so I kept dying constantly. I couldn't wait to be home!

Maura's (Niall's mum) POV

The car ride to the airport was the literal most awkward thing I have ever experienced. I pretended to listen to the radio, tapping my foot along to the music but secretly I was pondering whether the ride would ever end. Chris was driving and Bobby was in the back.

(A/N Bobby is Niall's actual dad and Chris is his step-dad)

The air was so thick with tension that you could've cut it with a knife.

"Sooooo..." Started Chris, "How's things?"

"G-good thanks, how about you?" Replied Bobby.

"M-alright thanks." Say Chris.

Everyone was silent after that. Unfortunately Greg couldn't come to pick Niall up because he was minding the baby while his wife was at work. It's such a sweet little thing, hardly ever cries...

Eventually the car parked and we set off to meet Niall.
