DUSK till DAWN (Another Twilight Love Story)

The New Girl

(EDWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

                 We were at our usual parking spot , waiting for the bell to ring , when I heard everyone's thoughts .They were all turned to the new student body that was expected today, Skylar Parker. I was  having a conversation with my family when a Chevrolet Corvette came and parked two spaces away from us. Inside was a girl with hazel eyes and chocolate brown hair , her eyelashes framing her eyes perfectly. I quickly looked away , I have a girlfriend for crying out loud. Although my head was turned away , my ears were perked to the direction of where the new girl stood. All I could hear was a rumble of whispers , like a thousand people were talking in her head. I was ultimately curious about her , and wanted to talk to her but  I knew better. After what happened with Bella and James I could not allow myself to get yet another human involved with our kind.

                      I looked to my siblings and said pure frustrated ''I can't read the new girl's mind''. I tuned in their minds to see what they thought of this.'' How did I not see that'', ''Oh no , not another one'', ''Dude are you gonna hook up with her too''. I growled ''No, Emmett I will not hook up with her , I have a girlfriend''. He shrugged and as if on cue, Bella came and stood beside me . Alice stroked up a conversation with her , to give me time to think this through. I glared at Skylar  confused, and then she looked up at me and didn't shy away like Bella did. She looked me straight in the eye. Emmett followed my gaze , to see it was settled on Skylar. ''Ed , what are you a  player?'' He called to me in his mind. A low snarl erupted from within my chest.

                 That's when  Skylar walked right past our family with Newton , I decided to take a deep breath at the same time , and was met with an intoxicating scent . Skylar smelled better than Bella , and was so  close. Alice then seemingly gazed up in the air. But I knew what was happening , she was having a vision. It was of me , and Skylar. I had  a distraught look on my face and Skylar was lying in front of me , lifeless. And then I looked to my eyes , they were blood red. Skylar had a scent like strawberries and vanilla but I would never kill an innocent. I was raised by Carlisle differently. I gave Alice a look telling her not to ever show me that again. I don't want to see myself as a monster , even though I am one.

           After going inside , I followed Skylar around in everyone's mind. When she met Alice and her annoyed look when the generically popular , Cheryl gushed about me. When she scored a goal in GYM  or when she saved Eric from a ball that was coming to wipe his head off. I laughed on the way to Art , seeing from Rosalie's mind , the little outburst Skylar had at her. After 3 periods of purgatory and sheer Hell , lunch came along. Not like it was necessary , considering we don't eat . I was walking in the cafeteria when I saw Bella walk towards my family and I. '' Can we sit with Mike and Jessica today? I'll introduce you to Skylar , she's new'' I didn't know if sitting next to Skylar would be a good idea  , but Alice reassured me with a vision  showing Skylar at basketball tryouts, which weren't next week , so sitting with her would cause her no harm. At least not today.

               I sat down and so did the rest of my family. Jessica introduced us to Skylar , while Cheryl was caught up in her imagination with me and her as a couple. They were quite annoying and I didn't want to even hear them , by far see them. I would like to tell her exactly what would happen if my lips and the teeth behind them got anywhere close to her. That would put a end to all the fantasies, the thought of her reaction almost made me smile.

          ''  So Edward , how has your day been so far '' Cheryl asked with her best attempt of flirting. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Skylar rolling her eyes. One part of her personality was shown to me , she didn't take interest in boys. I don't know why , but my heart sank at that news. '' Fine , thank you'' I replied to Cheryl curtly. Cheryl looked down and in her mind made a mental note not to flirt with me again tomorrow , and play hard to get. ''How do you like the school so far?'' Alice asked Skylar. '' It's okay , a bit too many people know me. I hate attention , but attention sure does love me'' she replied causing me to smile. Unthinkingly, I aimed another question at her '' Why did you move from Pennsylvania'' At first she seemed surprised I was talking to her but then shrugged and responded '' My grandma lived here and I like being close to her. My mom also got remarried and I moved to Forks for her sake''. I got my first real glimpse in her soul she was selfless and her story was much like Bella's yet it intrigued me more. Bella I could practically read by now , but with Skylar I had so much to ask.

                Before I knew it me and Skylar were swept into a conversation and I kept my questions light as not to look like I was interrogating her. At what point we burst out laughing and everyone glared at us , they were all currently talking about clothes and I thanked Heavens Bella wasn't the jealous type .Emmett and Jasper were now apart of our conversation , and stole Skylar from me by both of them talking with her about video games.'' Oh yeah , I am a major computer geek. I love coding , video games and hacking. My favorite games  are Fortnite , Halo and Clash Of Clans.'' That was enough to get both my brothers amazed. They constantly questioned her and I was bought to the conclusion that Skylar is a very good gamer. The bell rang earlier then I wanted it too and my family called to me inside their heads. All their messages were the same , even Rosalie's ''She is amazing.'' I smiled I already knew she was. But I would never let myself get involved for her sake.

A/N Elizabeth here!!!!!!!Next chapter is from Edward's point of view. Bella and him break up. I have soooooo much to write that I thought , Hey why not update twice. So here is another chapter of DUSK TILL DAWN..
