Hey guys!! Thanks for reading my book lmao. Its not that good but if you like, then click that star at the bottom of ur screen💓 I'm gonna try my absolute best to make this the best work of writing I've ever done.
Ok now onto the storySeptember 8th, 1986
The Library was quiet, which I wasn't use to. Apparently people in Texas don't like to read too much. I mean there was dust on The Outsiders. I picked it up and lightly blew on the cover, causing a flurry of dust to appear in the 9am light. Flipping through it I noticed this book once belonged to someone. There were beautiful annotations and small sketches throughout the pages, making them seem like the words would just spill out of the book and on the floors. In the very back, two initials stood alone in the off color white.
"T. Q" I quietly muttered to myself.
Shrugging I put the book back on its shelf and went to my favorite section, Nature.
The eco system is just so interesting and beautiful to me, I want to spend my life protecting it and all its little creatures. After only 5 seconds I spotted my favorite book, My First Summer In The Sierra, grabbed it and checked it out.High-school here is strange. In Seattle most everyone kept to themselves. Groups of girls would huddle around reading one book a week, guys sat alone working or sleeping and the teachers were like Penitentes, very rare to see at all, outside of the classroom I mean. But in Texas, footballs were passed from one end of the hall to the other, girls were always in their cliques, laughing at any woman who wore the "wrong" outfit. And Teachers! Wow. The teachers were having full blown conversations with the students. How weird. I-
My notebook and pencil suddenly smacked me in the chest as my head hit a large metal object."Ow"
Two groups of girls looked at me smugly while they jeered at my experience
"Watch where your going freak"
My face prickled with anger. No one, especially not some random fashionista Barbie doll calls me a freak. Whirling around I locked eyes with the girl who had spoke. She had short black curls that gracefully tumbled over her small shoulders, which were covered by her red cardigan and black flannel. Her jeans perfectly hugged her hips and thighs giving her an intimidating stance. Red colored lips and her fair complexion matched her fair skin and gray eyes to a T. She was gorgeous, anyone could see it but a black cloud covered her expression, making her seem less godly.
"What did you call me, princess?"
She looked me up and down, those dusty eyes scanning my body looking for weaknesses. She scoffed when she saw my ripped jeans and black cut top. I could tell she felt threatened by me, her stance changed once she really studied my face.
I was confident, she wasn't and that scared her."You know I think we got off on the wrong foot." She stretched out her hand "the name is Livia, short for Olivia. I can tell your new here, so if you need someone to uh, hang with, we're your gals."
The others put on some fake smiles and played along.
"Ya, no. I don't need any fake bitches in my life, so it's nice to meet you liv but I'm gonna have to decline your offer."
Before she could respond I walked away, but not before noticing the small crowd that had gathered. They let me pass in peace, I mean until a strong hand grasped my back pack.
"Woah, slow down kid. What's your name?"
His smooth voice rippled through my mind, giving me little goosebumps on my arms. I wouldn't give him the satisfaction of seeing my face so without turning I calmly replied
"Ruth Jensen, now if you will excuse me I am late for my geometry class."
His hand let my bag go and I walked away, but before I was totally out of sight I heard his voice call out
"See ya later, baby"
First period was a drag. I learned all of this last year so there was really no reason to pay attention. All I could really think about was what that boy said to me.
See ya later, baby
Who does he think he is? He doesn't even know me, why would he call me baby?
My poor pencil was practically breaking as I wrote down all my thoughts in my journal. To do list
1. Get new pens
2. Find the boy
