Hanshin's POV
It was after school and I was taking some music supplies to Music Room 3 for a teacher. I was having some difficulties, seeing as I could hardly see past the boxes in my arms but I was managing. I was just rounding a corner when I crashed into something and went sprawling onto the floor. The supplies went flying across the hallway.
"Oh jeez! I'm so sorry!" The person who had run into me said. They got up off the ground and held out a hand for me to take. Looking up at them I was struck by their large doe eyes. With that a question came to my mind.
A girl? In the boys uniform? Are they transgender?
"It's fine," I said as I accepted their hand.
"Let me help pick this up," they said and began collecting the fallen supplies. I joined them and in a minute we had collected all the supplies.
"Thank you very much," I mumbled.
"You're welcome, and if you don't mind, where are you taking these?," the person asked.
"I was told by my teacher to bring these to Music Room 3, but it seems I may be a bit lost," I said, my voice growing quieter towards the end.
"Oh! I happen to be going there myself. If you would like I could take you there," they said with a reassuring smile on their face. I was again struck by their prettiness, especially the sparkle in their eyes.
"That would be very helpful, thank you," I said. I picked up a box and before I could protest the person had picked up the other. We began walking down the hallway (the opposite direction than I was going). The walk was serene with the cherry blossoms blowing in the wind and the melodic tune of the clock tower. Soon enough we came upon a pair of double doors. I could hear chatter behind it and tensed at the thought of the crowd the room could produce.
As I went to open the door I felt a slight tug on my sleeve. I looked over and found myself mesmerized by the persons doe eyes once again.
"I must warn you, the people here are slightly odd and a bit overwhelming. They're nice people, just don't get too freaked out," they said, snapping me out of my reverie . I looked at them with a curious look on my face.
What did they mean by that? How weird could a person be? That thought was soon answered when the door was opened.
We walk in on a very strange scene. A blonde seemed to be sulking, slurping up ramen like his life depended on it. Surrounding him were two identical twins, taunting the cornered male to no end. Next I saw an elementary boy eating cakes in a way that made me fear for his life. Standing over the boy was an extremely stoic-looking man. The only normal part of what I was seeing seemed to be an intelligent looking male at a table. That is, before I saw his calculating eyes glance my way.
What a cold look. Did I do something wrong?
I began backing out of the room, hoping to be inconspicuous. It seemed I had no luck, for the kimono wearing male tackled the person I was with. The box they were carrying went flying as they slammed into the still open door. The door seemed to mock me with its thud.
A high voice reached my ears, making me cringe. "HARUHI! YOU'RE BACK!"
"Yes senpai, now please get off, you're crushing the coffee," Haruhi -that's their name- said. Then I noticed the shopping bag in her hand for the first time. I tilted my head in confusion.
How did I not notice that before? I jumped as two elbows leaned on my shoulders.
"And look what she brought with her," two almost identical voices said. I shrunk as all eyes landed on me.
"Oh yeah, who is this Kyoya?," the enthusiastic blonde asked. I curiously looked at the people in front of me.
Why are they asking someone else who I am? Wouldn't they ask me?
The calculating guy stepped forward with a-death note?- in hand.
"This happens to be Kobayashi Hanshin, a second year in class A. Astounding grades, but not much of a social life. No extra curricular activities and no people that you could call his friends. His home life seems extremely average, his parents own a minor sales business. Really nothing to mention. So basically-"
"Nobody takes any notice to him-"
"There's nothing there to notice," the twins cut in, putting what Kyoya was going to say quite...bluntly.
I had shrunk as much as possible trying to leave, but the twins had a firm hold on me. Though it seemed I had some luck. Haruhi had decided to come to my rescue.
"Stop being so rude! He just came to drop off some supplies." They all seemed to notice the supplies then. I watched as the eccentric blondes eyes brightened in an instance.
"Our new props?," he exclaimed.
I went to reply but before I could he had grabbed the box from my arms and opened it. As he did that I noticed the other box that had gone flying was oddly picked up and set on a table nearby.
I wonder who did that. I'll have to thank them. I was brought out of my thoughts by someone yelling.
"Don't just go opening things without asking!," Haruhi stood over a deflated blonde yelling. She looked over to me and I jumped at the thought of her intimidating eyes landing on me. Yet her eyes were kind when they turned to me.
"I'll help you bring these to the back rom, then you can be on your way," Haruhi said with a warm smile. Suddenly I saw something lunge at Haruhi and gave a yelp. Nobody batted an eye when the overenthusiastic blonde began spinning Haruhi around. I glanced around cautiously, wondering whether someone was going to do something.
I then heard the blonde say something that caught my interest, "I can't believe we have such a cute girl all to ourselves!"
Does that mean Haruhi is a girl? Why is she wearing the boys uniform? I decided to ask the safest person here, that person being the giant. I walked over to wear he was watching the small boy eat cake. Tugging on his sleeve to gain his attention, I glanced everywhere but his eyes as I spoke.
"Excuse me mister, what did he mean by girl? Isn't Haruhi wearing the boys uniform?" Instead of getting an answer it seemed as if the whole room froze. All at once everyone (except the giant and calculating man) started complimenting Haruhi's 'manliness'. I looked at them all curiously. Just then I happened to glance at the clock and realized the time.
Oh jeez, I am so late.
"I'm sorry, but could I put these supplies in your storage area now? I don't mean to be rude. It's just getting sort of late", I timidly said to Haruhi. Haruhi -now out of the blondes' hold- came over to me.
"Of course, sorry for the commotion," she then picked up a box and gestured for me to follow. I picked up the other box and did as told, going into a back room filled with odds and ends. We set down the boxes in a corner and turned to leave. Before we got to the door though, Haruhi tapped me on the shoulder.
"I am really sorry about them. Just ignore what they said, they weren't meaning to be rude. You're a nice person. I would like to talk to you again," Haruhi's smile was kind and truthful. I smiled a small smile in return.
"Haruhi, your guest is here. Remember, you need to learn how to dance by the ball." Kyoya's voice came from the doorway. I looked over to see him in the doorway.
"I can't believe I need to do this," Haruhi said. Haruhi smiled at me once more before leaving. I made to follow her but was stopped by Kyoya.
"I would like to personally apologize if I came across as rude, you have my sincerest apologies for that." I hesitated before responding, not quite trusting the look in his eyes.
"It's alright, I don't mind", I said. I walked around him and began walking to the door. Just as I was about to turn the handle I was yanked back.
"Wait Shin-chan! I didn't even get to ask if you want to eat cake with me!" The young boy looked up at me with sweet eyes that caused my heart to stutter. I looked away before I could give in.
"Sorry, I can't. I have to get home." I quickly opened the door and left after that. I breathed out a sigh of relief, no longer in such a nerve wracking situation.
On my way home I couldn't help letting my thoughts wander. I wondered what kind of club such odd people could be apart of.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3rd POVThe hosts crowded around the table, having just finished the dancing lessons moments ago. They spoke about the visitor they had, their curiosity high.
"He was a good boy, right Takashi?"
"Yeah"
"He seems like good material-"
"For a new toy"
"Guys, don't be mean"
"You still like me more, right Haruhi?!"
"I wonder if he could bring in more costumers".
They continued speaking amongst each other until it was time to leave. And as they left they all had a subconscious agreement, they were going to make him a new friend. Perhaps even a new addition to their family.A/N- Thank you so much for reading this story. It will be my first story so I will appreciate any commenting, sharing, and/or favoriting.
