You feel like all of this

You believe your point of view would change

You look at them and think to yourself

Only to one day think
"I WAS so in love"
To think they're gone
That they're never coming back
And then you see them with someone else
You realize they're in love
With someone who isn't you
You drown in darkness
And heartbreak
Having to see them every day
With someone else
Side by side
You're at war with your thoughts
"They love me" "theyre gone" "I'm getting them back" "I'll never feel his lips again"
Because when you got with him your goal was to marry him
Not to pass time
But he was in the waiting room with you
And just got called into the doctors office
And you were sent home still injured
Your bandages were taken off of your heart
Followed by the very skin of it
Peeled off
Smashed to pieces
Ripped apart
Stabbed through the center
It stops.
You fall.
Not to the floor
Inside a pit
A pit of darkness
With black matter
Never hitting the bottom
Until you do but that's your choice
You either hit it
Or you don't
If you don't
You'll be ok
If you do
You'll end forever
It's all gone
Forever and for always
Like your love was supposed to be
But so never be again
