???'s POV:
As soon as i crossed that border i gave up my place in the pack, and i was now a rogue. Rogue.. I slowly let the word roll off my tongue and let my wolfs nose crunch up in disgust.
My ears shoot up when i hear a front door slam, and a little boy about my age exit the house. Who was he? I sniffed the air, feeling no type of bond to the scent. But as i sniffed again i realized he had her scent on him. Did she have a child? My mind was so focused on the thought of her leaving us, i didn't notice the boy heading right for me.
"Hi." His voice was close when i looked up. He was right in front of me.
"Hello." The uncertainty in my voice making it crystal clear that i was scared.
"I'm Jacob." He says sticking out his hand and making me flinch. He lets out a giggle then says, "You should probably shift before we shake hands." I slowly picture myself and allow myself to shift back. Somehow managing to still have on my clothes. What?
"Liam." I say sticking out my hand, and shaking the younger boys hand. He had to at least be a year younger than me, or maybe the same age?
"Jacob!" I hear a familiar voice call for the boy causing me to backup into the woods again. He slowly looks back to the house, and frowns. He takes a step back then raises a brow at me. He must be Jacob..
"You coming? I have some really cool toy trucks we could play with." He gives me a boyish smile. The smile gave me comfort and made me feel somewhat safe. Strange, considering he was a stranger. I give him a slight nod, following him.
As we get closer to the big house my nerves start rising, and i can feel the palms of my hands sweating. This was an Alpha's house! If he found me as a threat, he'd kill me. Then id never find my sister.. W-
My thoughts are suddenly cut short by the familiar girl standing at the bottom of the stairs. Her eyes held a certain emotion, for once not being that stressed, worried look she'd always have. My sister always used to have dark circles under her brown eyes. But then i see the man i didn't ever want to see again. It was the wolf that stood behind the man that killed my mother. His eyes widen as he sees me. Zander!
I let out a scream then take off back to the woods. I won't let him kill me! "Liam!" I hear my sisters pleading calls as she recognizes me. He just stood there while my mother was attacked! He could of helped but he did nothing. All he did was act like he was fascinated with the ground as my mom kept telling me to run.
"RUN!"
My body collides to the ground, and i let out a yelp. "Get off me! Help!" I squirm, and try to wiggle out of the grasp of the giant black wolf. Which so happened to be my sister.
She shook her head no, and gave me a slobbery wolf kiss. Which caused the whole side of my face that wasn't almost in the ground to be covered in slobber. She quickly shifted back and engulfed me in her arms.
"Liam.." she sobbed into the crook of my neck. "Are you alright?" She asked and began to search everywhere. But my world zoned out as my eyes met the ones of the dreadful blonde. Zander. It was as if she caught my uneasiness because she gave him a look that said 'go away'. Once he left i began to feel safer.
"Willow, where the he-" a guy emerges from the house wearing only shorts. His blue eyes stare into mine as he sniffs the air. He must be the Alpha.
"Aiden. This is my-" he cuts her off.
"Brother?" He asks as he walks across the yard and stops right in front of us. "You must be Jacobs new friend." He says adding the only softness he has to his voice. I guess he was afraid that his voice would break me. Was i that weak?
"As i was saying... Where the heck is the stapler?" He asks obviously changing the words he once used. His face had an awkward look to it, almost as if he was afraid of new people... or my sister?
"How am i supposed to know?!" My sister argued back.
"You're the one always throwing it at people!" He argues, causing willow to stick her tongue out at him.
