"Gamzee? Uh, you alright bro?"
The highblood turned his head at the familiar voice, his black orbs soon staring at his bro with a calm gaze, looking over his friend's concerned expression. Why that face? What was that look?
"Yeah man, I'm fucking great, just chilling out in the horn pile." Gamzee wasn't sure if the words he'd said were true but he didn't want to worry his best bro, even though the two had been distant lately. Tavros had been sleeping an awful lot since they'd gotten to the lab, Gamzee had tried asking about it but in response had simply gotten, 'Something really sad happened, and well, I don't want to talk about it.' and that was that.
Tavros seemed to think about what his friend had said, eyes viewing the hornpile for a moment before looking up to Gamzee, meeting his eyes for only a short moment before looking away, one arm raising to grab his own opposite arm, a nervous sort of gesture.
Gamzee wasn't all that sure what to make of his friend's response, instead simply shrugging to himself and letting his body sink further into the hornpile until he could lean his head back on horns, closing his eyes and trying to relax. He knew he was perhaps being a bit rude, maybe seeming uninterested in conversation, but in truth he just didn't feel all that right. Something was out of wack and he couldn't name it, he just didn't feel like himself?
He couldn't easily explain it to anyone either.
"Okay, well, I guess I just thought I'd ask, sorry." The faint sound of wheels rolling across the hard floor came soon after that statement, it seemed the other troll was leaving and Gamzee suddenly felt a bit cold, his bro was going through his own things too, wasn't he? He'd even came over here in an attempt to check on the highblood, and although Gamzee wasn't exactly in a talking mood like his usual self, the least he could do was pretend, wasn't it?
With a soft sigh to himself, a barely audible noise, the highblood rose his head up and looked towards his bro, who in fact was rolling away in the direction of where he'd been sleeping at recently. "Hey brother, you can motherfucking chill with me in the horn pile for a bit-- I can help you in and everything." He then went to smile, a small one but at least he tried, orbs glued to his handicapped friend.
The lowblood paused at his words before turning his head, looking back at the other troll for a moment. Gamzee could tell he was thinking over the offer, but after a moment of thinking the troll began to turn his wheel-device around and began rolling closer, head giving a small nod, orbs once again focused downwards. Since he was actually trying to care, Gamzee could tell his bro did look a bit down in the dump, maybe he wanted to talk about it? What was he thinking? Gamzee wasn't usually the type to think deeply of other's feelings, he was chill, wickedly chill, usually just went with the flow and whatever felt right, but lately he felt different, he wanted to know just what the other was thinking, why those orbs were avoiding his gaze, what was wrong?
Gamzee said nothing in return, instead slowly standing up(being careful not to mess the pile up too badly) and soon stepping out of the pile, rolling his shoulders back before approaching his Tavbro, who seemed to hesitate before offering his arms out to the other. Picking the other up wasn't too difficult but either way he was careful, being careful both for Tavros' sake and to avoid being hit by his bro's giant horns, soon lifting him from his wheel-device and turning around to gently set him down in the hornpile. Tavros was silent while Gamzee began to move horns aside for Tav's paralyzed legs, so they could be buried in the horn pile, and after this he too climbed on in, getting nestled into the pile before finally looking to his bro, who met his gaze this time. Instead of saying words the highblood simply offered a small smile, as to perhaps comfort him, to assure him all was fine, and in return Tav gave him a weak smile, forced.
