The knock on the door was exactly what you were hoping for, saved from the lion's jaws. But who could it be? We hardly get visitors except for the occasional friend every once in a while, I think your friend Lerato is the most frequent visitor, she's probably in on this too. Those little girls night outings are a front for your "adventures".

"This isn't over" I snapped, "I'm going to get rid of whoever it is and then you have a lot of explaining to do". You still had your plate in your hands, shaking as you were, so scared you probably forgot to put it down.

The knocks were getting violent now, whoever it was sounded like the police. "I'm coming, don't break my damn door down!" I shouted.

I opened the door and all the anger in me evaporated like steam, standing outside my apartment was Chrissy. But how? I never told her where I live, is this some kind of prank? Was Keletso testing me to see if I'd cheat? I was so confused, but Chrissy didn't look too happy to see me, in fact she looked upset, not like that day at the park upset but more like I'm about to rip your throat out of your ass upset.

"Chrissy what are you doi..." I was so stunned to see her that I didn't realise there was another person in the hallway looking rather pale and flushed.

Me: "Wait, it's you? What are YOU doing here?" Standing behind Chrissy was the guy from the bachelor party a few weeks ago.

Chrissy: "Daniel, are you sure this is the right place? Is this some kind of sick joke? Thapelo are you in on it too?"

Me: "Sick, joke? I don't kno..."

Daniel: "Baby, look, let's go back home and talk about this, this is unnecessary"

Chrissy: "I'm not your baby! So is kissing random bitches necessary? Huh? Where is that tramp? Thapelo are you alone? Who's Keletso?"

Me: "Wait, what?"

Chrissy: "I should have never said yes to that bogus proposal! You cheating piece of shit!"

Me: "What does Keletso have to do with any of this, can someone tell me what the fuck is going on?!?"

"Daniel? What are you doing here?" Called Keletso from behind me.

Me: "You two know each other? What's going on Kele..."

"You bitch!" screeched Chrissy as she launched herself into the apartment before I could even restrain her.

"Chrissy!" exclaimed me and Daniel in unison before chasing after her to break up their scuffle. A thunderous slap echoed in the hallway, next thing it was screams and hair pulling. We managed to break it up, I held back Keletso and Daniel held back Chrissy.

Me: "Okay this stops now, we're all going to talk this out, I need to understand what's going on because I'm clearly the only person in the dark here. You first!" I said pointing at Chrissy whose curled, golden hair was now a mess and her fierce coloured side was now blossoming in front of my very eyes.

Chrissy explained that she was close to marrying Daniel when he confessed two days before their wedding, out of guilt probably, that he had kissed someone recently, a student from one of the guest lectures he was conducting at the university as part of his law firm's programme to help future attorneys and that someone was the girl standing next to me with her hands on her face.

Everything started to make sense now, the phone call that morning was with Daniel. He brought Chrissy here which means he's been here before, which means they fucked, in MY home, on MY bed!

I had heard enough, Chrissy's voice faded into the background and the next few seconds were a blur, I saw red, one minute I was next to Keletso and the next I was delivering blows to Daniel's face, my knuckles colliding with his jaw. If this was a video game this move would be called "The Fists of Justice" (Ha, I couldn't resist).

The same people who we were stopping from fighting earlier, were now the ones playing referee. "I'll fucking kill you!" I roared, pointing a finger at Daniel. "Thapelo, please" pleaded Keletso trying to stand in between me and the dude who now had a busted lip and a bleeding nose, recovering behind Chrissy.

"Don't fucking touch me, you should pack your shit and leave with this scumbag right now!" I hissed at her. "And YOU! You were fucking my girl while I served you drinks you piece of shit!"

"Dude, it wasn't even like that, I didn't even know she was your girl..." Explained Daniel, trying to catch his breath while feeling his jaw.

Me: "So that makes it okay? You were engaged to be married, how could y..."

"It was a silly mistake that I regret to this day, we didn't even sleep together!" Keletso, cut in while crying, "I swear I love you bab..."

Me & Chrissy: "Yeah right!"

Keletso: "You better shut the fuck up, skank!"

Chrissy: "Skank? Says the home wrecking slut!"

Now these two were back at it. The door was left ajar, we had caused such a racket that the neighbours were out in the passage with two of them entering to break up the fight.

Keletso: "Who are you calling slut?!?"

"The both of you should leave now or else I'm calling the cops!" bellowed Mr Dlamini, one of the two men who walked in.

"This isn't over" threatened Chrissy, "You deserve better than this, Thapelo" tears forming in her eyes. She picked up her earring and left, pushing Daniel, who was still massaging his left cheek, out of the way. "You can have this back!" she said as she dropped her engagement ring outside the door and stormed out.

Daniel: "Chrissy, baby... Let's talk about this" he begged as she turned around the corner, sobbing.

He picked up his ring and ran after her.

Mr Dlamini dispersed the small crowd of onlookers, I could have sworn some of the nosey neighbours even pulled out their phones. This little episode would definitely be on YouTube tomorrow.

But I had bigger things to worry about. The love of my life cheated on me, how do you register that in your mind? How do you even accept it? I just stood there, looking at her sobbing, she looked like she had just wrestled a bear, her lip also had a cut and her hair was all over the place. I didn't know whether to hug her or just throw her against the wall.
