The next day, the basketball team had already started to practice as Lonna watched Jin. She couldn’t hold herself back from distracting him, as she waved at him with all her might. Jin paused in the middle of making a basket to give her one of his famous smiles. After making the basket, he passed the ball off and looked back at the girl who was shyly swaying back and forth with the dumbest grin on her face. Lonna’s mind drifted…

‘Lonna stood shyly waiting on Jin to come back from the locker rooms. He didn’t make her wait long, as he walked up to her wearing his practice clothes. “Thanks for your work today. Let’s walk home together.” He said making Lonna nod shyly.’

If anyone would have seen her they would have called her a love-sick weirdo with the faces she was making. The dream was so nice and Lonna only wished it would come true. Suddenly, Lonna was rudely wakened from her daydream by someone hitting her hard in the back of the head.

Lonna whipped around ready to scold whoever dared to disturb her beautiful dream, but upon seeing who it was she was stunned into silence.

Lonna curled into herself as the evilly amused glares of the five boys was enough to bring her to the ground.‘With them around, things will never be good.’ Lonna thought as she looked at the boys on the verge of tears. ‘I wish I could bend you in half.’Lonna said the threat silently, being too afraid to say it aloud.

Suga bent closely to the frightened girl. “As the manager, your job is to take care of the players.” He smiled in triumph as he saw the look of realization hit Lonna’s face. He was out to make her job a very miserable one. Lonna sighed in defeat.

“Water!” Suga screamed from his resting spot. Lonna knew she couldn’t argue, because this was her job. As she ran to hand him a bottle of water, she wondered why he even needed one, given he hadn’t even been practicing like all the others. None the less, she gave him one.

She went to walk away but Suga wasn’t done with her yet. “Towel!” He screamed. Lonna wasted no time in getting his second request as well.

“Juice!” Suga yelled once more as Lonna was trying to help other players. Despite running around like a chicken with her head cut off, she ran a carton of juice over to Suga and gave him a sweet smile as she held it out for him. Suga looked at her face and was annoyed by what he saw. “Psst…open it for me.”

This worked it’s magic in making Lonna’s smile falter, as she quickly shook the carton and started to open it. “Come on quickly.” Suga said making her nerves snap even more. Lonna rushed to open the paper carton as the look of rage took over her features. Lonna handed it too him now open and moved to help more players that actually needed it.

It had been awhile since Suga had demanded something from her and none of the other players who were practicing needed help, so she stood on the side of the court and watched the practice. She tried to secretly watch Jin without him noticing. “MASSAGE!” The voice ground in her ears like nails on a chalkboard.

“You want a massage!” Lonna screamed at the boy who had without her noticing moved behind her, and decided to use the floor as a resting area.

She was beyond annoyed now. Suga had been making more requests than anyone but he wasn’t even working as hard as the others. Technically, he was just sleeping and ordering her around.

Suga slowly raised into a sitting position upon noticing the girl’s resistance to do what he said. “Captain, fire this manager, she doesn’t do anything.” He shouted in Jin’s direction.

Lonna couldn’t believe he was as childish as this, but she couldn’t argue with Jin watching, so she quickly moved to grant his wish. Lonna gave Suga a look of murder as she roughly started massaging his arms.

It was Lonna’s break time as she sat in the balcony seats trying to breath out her anger. Suga had run her ragged with his never-ending requests.

Krystal and Momo ran up to their friend as happy as ever. “Did you get to talk to Jin?” Krystal asked as soon as they made it in front of her.

“Do you really think that is a possibility with that devil around?” Lonna said rudely.

“Lonna you need to be more vigilant as the team manager.” Said Momo.

“What do you mean by that?” Lonna asked quickly looking at her friend. She hoped she knew something that could help her.

“Suga used to play basketball in high school.” Momo said. “But because he beat up the coach, they kicked him off the team.”

“He seriously hit the coach?” Lonna asked suddenly fearing for her life.

“Thanks to his family’s money and power, it was swept under the rug.” Krystal added.

“You couldn’t be more wrong.” A voice startled the three girls making them look in its’ direction. RM moved from the spot he was sitting on the railing to move beside Lonna. He laid back on the bleachers. “Suga isn’t that kind of person.” He stated.

Lonna couldn’t help but roll her eyes at his words. “In high school, there was a fat boy on our team. He wasn’t only slow, he also created trouble for the team as a whole.”

Lonna suddenly looked at RM with interesting for his story written in her eyes. “He’d been there a full two years, but he never even touched a ball. One day the coach said to him: You, lard ass, stay on the bench and watch the others practice!” The memory flashed in RM’s mind as he talked.

The boy stood in front of the coach with the saddest look on his face. He knew the coach was right, he was nothing but a burden to the team.

Suga couldn’t take it anymore as he angrily slammed the ball to the ground and moved towards the coach. He didn’t say anything as he gripped his shoulder to twist him around toward him. He pulled his fist back and hit him hard in the face, making the coach fall to the ground. Suga’s anger was too high as he continued to beat him from his position on the ground. The other members of the team moved quickly to stop him.

“Because of that, Suga, was kicked off the team.” RM finished his story while all three girls looked at him with sadness. “Suga didn’t have to stick up for the boy…but he got so angry, like he was the one being insulted.”

RM turned to look at Lonna who stared straight into his eyes. “That lard ass, was me.”

Lonna couldn’t believe what he was telling her, but RM held something out in his hand. She slowly reached up to take it from him, Krystal and Momo ran to get a closer look at the picture now in Lonna’s hand.

“Aww you were cubby.” Krystal squealed upon seeing the overweight RM with Suga’s arm wrapped around him in friendship. Lonna was at a loss for words. She never thought Suga was capable of doing something so nice.

“I know it sounds strange, but we are not his friends because he is the president’s son. We really respect Suga as the person he truly is.” Lonna looked at the picture in her hands and couldn’t help but feel that maybe she had misjudged Suga’s character.
